The Art of the Flip-Flop: Why My Brain Loves a Good Spiral
There is a moment, just a fraction of a second, where the answer exists before the noise arrives. For most of my life, I have treated that split-second intuition like a suggestion rather than a compass.
Living with unmedicated ADHD, my brain often feels like a crowded stadium where everyone is shouting different directions at once. When I lose the thread of that initial, decisive spark, I don’t just take a moment to rethink; I enter the "Flip-Flop Zone."
I bounce between options until the sheer cognitive load makes me feel, quite literally, bonkers. Often, I just cave into nothingness and stay in a static, frustrated holding pattern because the prospect of choosing wrong feels safer than choosing at all.
I am tired of the fight, so I am changing the rules. I am sharing the new tools I am using to protect my energy, reclaim my intuition, and finally break the loop of the "have to’s" versus the "want to’s."
