For our Evacuees located in Merritt, we invite you to drop in for supports, below you will see what supports we have in place, doors will be open all afternoon.

There will be child and youth drop-in activities, mental wellness and cultural supports as requested, and the donation hub!

NOTE: these are not ESS supports, just a place to gather and support each other while communities are displaced

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Nlaka’pamux Nation Community Gathering today. It was wonderful to see community members and evacuees come together, share a meal, and support each other during these challenging times.

A special thank you to Kiya and Chloe from First Nations Health Authority for being there to provide mental health supports and a safe space for community members.

Thank you to Buzz Manuel for providing Traditional Wellness Support.

Thank you to 5 Cubs Quick Stop for the wonderful meal.

We would also like to thank Citxw Nlaka'pamux Assembly for stepping in and helping wherever needed to make the gathering possible.

Most importantly, we want to remind our community members to continue taking care of yourselves and one another. These circumstances can be difficult and stressful, so please take time to rest, connect with family and community, and reach out for support when you need it. ❤️

Working together across communities and organizations, it had been there identified a need for a location in Merritt for those that are displaced locally to be able to gather, visit with one another, and access supports.
All evacuees are welcome to join us for at the 2475 Merritt Ave to pop in at any time 9am to at least 4:30 this week (later on evenings we can coordinate meals). We are working on confirming additional cultural and wellness supports and will update the poster when times are confirmed.
