Research on secure attachment consistently demonstrates that children who grow up feeling consistently loved, accepted, emotionally safe, and valued, regardless of performance, behaviour, or mistakes, tend to experience more positive emotional, social, and physical outcomes throughout life.

Secure attachment is associated with higher self-esteem, stronger emotional regulation, greater resilience to stress, healthier interpersonal relationships, and lower rates of anxiety and depression.

It’s actually a very small percentage of women who have a lovely day on Mother’s Day. On the other end are the people who:

- are doing Mother’s Day alone for the first time
- we’re disappointed by their partner that day
- are missing their mom in heaven or child
- are on their own fertility journey or unexpected childlessness
- have children who moved out

Mother’s Day can be heavy, it’s such a complex topic for so many of us. Be sure to send some love or check in on your people today ❤️ it can change so much to have support

Sometimes it feels like we need to learn a whole other language just to communicate with these people without it spiralling into a full blown battle ⚠️ BUT, these tools DO work, and at the very least save your sanity 🙏💛
