🌱🍎 Growing Goodness All Year Long! 🍓🥬
We feel incredibly lucky to have so much garden space that allows us to grow an abundance of fresh, healthy food for our learners throughout the year! 💚
From figs and rhubarb that become delicious pies, to apples for homemade applesauce and healthy snacks, our garden gives us so much to be grateful for. 🍏🥧
We grow lettuce for fresh salads, strawberries and blueberries, and even lilacs that can be used for homemade jams and jellies. 🌿🫐🍓 We also grow raspberries and blackberries, perfect for making delicious homemade jams and jellies as well! 🍇✨
We also have chestnuts, kale to add extra greens to our salads, and plenty of tomatoes that turn into homemade salsa, pasta sauce, pizza sauce with fresh basil, and so much more! 🍅🥗
Our garden also blesses us with sweet pears, juicy grapes, and kiwi, perfect for fresh eating, snacks, and sharing the joy of seasonal harvests. 🍐🍇🥝
And our squash and garlic is a wonderful addition to healthy homemade pasta sauces, adding extra nutrition and goodness. 🎃🍝
We are so grateful to be in a position where we can grow, harvest, prepare, and provide nutritious foods for our learners year-round. There is something so special about watching food grow from the garden, knowing it will eventually make its way onto a learner’s plate. 🌱➡️🍽️
From our garden to our learners — we are so thankful for every little seed, harvest, and helping hand that makes it possible. 💚🌻
