Well it's been a little bit of a roller coaster and the end result is the doctors decided that chemo is too hard on my system I've ended up with six infections and probably two months six hospitals stays spending more time in the hospital than at home confusion my epilepsy has seemed to return just because one of the side effects of chemo can be seizure so I'm back on seizure meds after 10 years I was really down I'm brave enough to post a picture I've lost all my hair I felt like I did chemo for nothing I felt like I was a quitter but the doctor said sometimes it can be more harm than good so I'm going to be going on to a treatment called amino therapy apparently there's some side effects I've got to do some research but my doctor said if you can get on that to get on that it's once a month for a year so this is me right now I'm a little bit shy but I'm going to post it those infections really hit me hard it's kind of funny I got so confused one time I kept trying to put my cat's tunnel on my head I'm putting my arm through it my husband said he had to keep putting it away because I just kept trying to re-put it on my head so of course he had to bring me into the hospital and then the last time actually he does pretty good he can redirect me he helps he gets my shoes on and they take me to the back as soon as he brings me in I spent four in days the neurologist cleared me I came home for 3 days and then I guess I had like severe pneumonia seizures and confusion started again so I took my pants off LOL I tried to put them on trying to put them on like a t-shirt so he had to call the ambulance he couldn't redirect me this time I end up having two spinal taps and a scope because they said my lungs have changed in 2 week and they can't seem to give me a definitive answer countless scans and it's just I guess the infections cause seizures the seizures cause confusion my immune system just got so bad from the chemo so yeah it's been a little bit of a ride but so this is me now and it's only here it'll grow back but definitely been a roller coaster I will not give up I have gotten back on my rowing machine I used to be able to do 45 min to an hour at the gym and I did 8 minutes yesterday it's frustrating I know I lost the majority of my lung and I have been through alot in the last 2 months but I feel like I am going backwards I raced 3 dragon boat races 2 months after I lost my lung I get up do my chores in the morning get on the rowing machine then basically rest the rest of the day just want my life back gonna be a while

I was wondering when this would begin also I have been back in hospital since Saturday it is looking like these episodes that are putting me in hospital are seizures which can be a rare side effect of chemotherapy but still a side effect I was diagnosed with epilepsy years ago but have been off the meds for years and it's probably been close to 10 years since my last seizure I have an appointment on Monday to potentially discontinue the chemotherapy because I am responding so badly to it and start me on amino therapy (which I was to have when I was done chemotherapy) I don't know what to do my next round of chemo is one week from today and maybe now being back on seizure medicine I will respond better I'm still in hospital with the possibility of going home tomorrow and I am only seeing real Jay now not imaginary Jay I also was seeing alot of cats like ALOT of cats even trying to wear my cats tunnel as a T-shirt ( yes hallucinations were that bad) I am bummed about my hair and will have Jay shave it off when I go home nobody can change my mind it's everywhere all over my hospital bed the floor my PJs my face I said if it started to come out this way off it goes it's hair it will grow back mine grows fast and I have a lot of it Jay has never seen me with short hair he's amazing about everything he says it's okay we have alot of hats I am just confused about what to do regarding the chemotherapy and my MD appointment is on Monday I really want to try one more round being on seizure medicine my Dad passed young from lung cancer and 3 of his siblings have either died from cancer or currently fighting it on top of my history I feel that I should have the next round I can feel it when something is coming on I told Jay last Friday I was going to end up back in hospital and here I am I don't want to give up on chemo with 2 rounds left what if my decision effects my outcome down the road this can be a game changer

Hey everyone just checking in wanted to let you guys know what happened after this last round of chemo so I just spent another 5 days in hospital making this my 9th Hospital stay since September I developed seizures after my chemo I do have epilepsy but I have not been on the medication for 10 years so I'm back on my anti seizure medication it's been a little bit of a road but I'm doing everything to stay positive I do believe that I will be beat this hard to say what the next round of chemos you got in store for me but that's not for another 2 weeks from today I might speak to the doctor about staying in the hospital after hopefully my anti seizure medication will work for me the next time around I'm only have two rounds left and then they'll be doing another type of treatment that one I'm not sure too much about and how long I will have to have that done my faith and my family and everybody else is supporting me is what keeps me going I think I'm going to go out on the water next week with my team get some practice in it looks like my hair might be starting to fall out I just kind of noticed that as I'm writing this post we'll have to see what happens it's only hair it'll grow back and I do have a lot of it so other than that everything else has been okay I just got home today so I haven't really spent a lot of time on social media and let everybody know what's going on and thank everybody for your support

Hi everyone sorry I have not been on I was in the hospital with an infection again was given the wrong antibiotics and had the infection for over 3 weeks was on iv antibiotics for 8 days been out a week received the green light today to go to next round of chemo this Wed 900 am Happy Canada Day ❀️

Saw the doctor a few minutes ago and he says things are looking good. When I asked him why this keeps coming back, he said they never got rid of it in the first place. So, I am on the right antibiotics now, but can't go home until Sunday, possibly Monday. J has to go to TO for the next week for a welding course. But I already feel the difference with the new antibiotics. It's very likely that I had the one infection while I was having chemo and have been walking around with it for a month now. The antibiotics they gave me to go on for 8 days just masked it; 3 days after I went off, it went squirrelly again. The good news is my hemoglobin went up to 97. Tired still, nap time. Hi everyone, so I'm in the hospital again with yet another two infections, apparently pneumonia and a bladder infection. I'm pretty bummed out because it was supposed to be chemotherapy day today. So I ended up getting super confused again, and Jason rushed me in on Monday morning. I was trying to hold out; I knew that I was not well, so I tried to hold out because I had an MD appointment with my new oncologist. I ended up getting antibiotics from the pharmacy for Sunday night and Monday morning, but it was too late. They told me that I have been on the wrong antibiotics, and now they've put me on something that's super strong. I'm going to be here for 5 to 7 days. I'm a little better now, actually, I'm doing a lot better now, just not there yet. So here are the up and down days. At least I'm getting closer to being myself. I will continue to update everybody, but it seems like all my scans have turned out okay. I know I will likely have to wait another 2 weeks for chemo, which might be better because Jason is out of town for the week next week for work.
