What’s your favourite way to regulate after a long day?

It’d be a quite long documentary.

20+ cancelations since summer started, and honestly just a part of working in private practice. Some seasons are busy and some are quiet.
Enjoying the quiet while, September starts with a waitlist.

Somehow they keep coming back to my office.

Control = Safety

But is it healthy way to feel safe ?

06/10/2026

I’ve been a little MIA lately.

A few people have reached out asking why I haven’t been posting as much, and honestly it was just life. Between work, family, responsibilities, and trying to be present in the moments that matter, social media simply didn’t make it to the top of my priority list.

As much as I love creating content and connecting here, sometimes the most important thing is practicing what I often encourage others to do: giving yourself permission to step back when you need to.

I’m grateful for everyone who checked in and noticed my absence. It reminded me that there are real people behind these screens and that connection matters.

I’m slowly finding my way back and looking forward to sharing more with you all soon. 🤍

✅ If you are the eldest daughter, you were likely raised to anticipate everyone’s needs before your own.

✅ So of course you feel calm when you are in control.

✅ Control helped you survive, But it may now be draining you.

Just because it’s “normal” in desi families doesn’t mean it’s healthy.
Enmeshment can look like closeness — but feel like guilt, obligation, and no room to breathe.
You’re allowed to love your family and have boundaries.
