Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and credentials alone don't tell the whole story.
An ethical therapist should:
✔️ Respect your autonomy and right to make decisions about your own life
✔️ Prioritize your wellbeing above personal, financial, or professional gain
✔️ Practice within their scope of competence
✔️ Welcome questions about their training, approach, and experience
✔️ Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
✔️ Be honest about what they know and what they don't know

It's also okay to be curious and ask questions.
Does this therapist have experience with my concerns?
Are they receiving supervision or consultation when needed?
Do I feel respected, heard, and safe in this relationship?
Therapy works best when it is built on trust, transparency, and ethical care.

When a child struggles with anxiety, parents often find themselves doing whatever they can to help.

Providing reassurance, changing plans, avoiding situations that might trigger distress...
These responses come from a place of love. But sometimes they can unintentionally keep anxiety in charge.

SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a parent-based treatment that helps caregivers learn new ways to respond to anxiety while strengthening their child's confidence and resilience.

Parents often tell us that SPACE helped them:
✔️ Feel more confident in their parenting
✔️ Reduce family stress and conflict
✔️ Stop accommodating anxiety in ways that weren't helping
✔️ Strengthen their relationship with their child
✔️ Feel hopeful again

One of the most unique aspects of SPACE is that parents can create meaningful change without requiring their child to participate directly in treatment.

Sometimes helping a child starts with supporting the adults who care for them.

Healing is often described as a personal journey. But what if part of healing involves looking beyond ourselves?

The concept of Radical Healership invites us to consider how our experiences are shaped not only by individual choices, but also by the environments, systems, and communities we live within.

Many of the ways we cope, protect ourselves, and move through the world began as adaptations to help us survive difficult circumstances. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with me?" radical healing encourages us to ask, "What happened to me?" and "What am I carrying?"

Healing isn't about becoming someone new.

It's about reconnecting with yourself beneath the stress, expectations, and survival strategies that may no longer serve you.

It can include setting boundaries, prioritizing rest, telling the truth about your experiences, and leaning into supportive relationships and community.

Because healing was never meant to happen in isolation.

Oubaitori (桜梅桃李) is a Japanese philosophy that reminds us we are not meant to grow at the same pace as everyone else.

Inspired by four trees that bloom in spring, cherry, plum, peach, and apricot, each one flowers in its own time without comparison.

It’s a reflection of how people grow and develop.
There is no shared timeline for success, healing, or progress.

In a world that often encourages comparison, this is a reminder to come back to your own path.

You are not behind.
You are not late.
You are growing in your own season.

If you’re working on managing stress, emotions, or reactions, support can help.

Summer often feels like it should be packed with activities, plans, and constant movement.

But what many families actually need is less pressure and more space.

More rest
More connection
More time outside

The S.U.N. reminder is simple but powerful.
Sleep supports growing brains and emotional regulation.
Unplugging creates space for real connection.
Nature helps calm the nervous system and improve mood.

It doesn’t have to be complicated to make a difference.

Sometimes the most meaningful resets come from the simplest moments.
