An air-quality warning is currently in effect for Manitoulin Island.
Although conditions may appear clear at times, wildfire smoke and air quality can change quickly from one community—or even one hour—to the next. Residents are encouraged to monitor local conditions and reduce strenuous outdoor activity when smoke increases. 🏃‍♀️➡️🏠
Those who may be more affected include:
-- Older adults
-- Pregnant people
-- Infants and young children
-- People with heart conditions
-- People with respiratory conditions
-- Those who work or exercise outdoors
