Depression is not just sadness.

Sometimes it feels like emotional dimming. A quiet disconnection from yourself. A heaviness that settles into the body before you can fully explain what is happening.

In “When the Light Fades,” I reflect on my lived experience with Bipolar depression, low mood, identity loss, and the emotional weight of trying to stay connected to myself when everything inside feels distant and quiet.

This piece explores the kind of depression that can affect your energy, your sense of self, your daily routines, and your ability to feel present in the world around you.

It is also a reflection on endurance, self-compassion, family support, small routines, and holding on to hope when the light feels low.

Some worry does not simply pass.

It loops, deepens, and becomes part of the inner dialogue many people carry quietly every day.

In this reflection, I write about what it can feel like to live with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, how anxiety can overlap with Bipolar disorder, and how healing sometimes begins with learning to name the worry instead of being led by it.

This is not a story about having all the answers.
It is a story about understanding the voice of anxiety and learning how to carry it differently.

Some worry does not simply disappear when the moment passes.

For many people living with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, anxiety becomes a constant inner dialogue. It can affect sleep, confidence, self-worth, relationships, and the ability to feel safe in ordinary moments.

In this reflection, I write about when anxiety first entered my life, how persistent worry followed me into adulthood, and how it overlaps with Bipolar disorder in ways that can feel emotionally exhausting and difficult to untangle.

This piece is not about having a perfect answer.

It is about naming the worry, understanding its voice, and learning how to carry it differently.
