✨ A gentle reminder for the woman holding everything together ✨

You remember the appointments.
You check on everyone else.
You carry the mental load, solve problems, and keep moving, even when you're exhausted.

But who is supporting you?

You don't have to earn rest.
You don't have to wait until you're overwhelmed to ask for help.
You don't have to carry everything alone.

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish.
It's how you keep showing up for the people and things that matter most.

πŸ’š You deserve support, too.

Healing One Generation Can Impact the Next πŸ’š
Many of us are parenting while carrying stories we never asked for.

The way we respond to stress, conflict, emotions, and relationships is often shaped by experiences that began long before us. Sometimes, we find ourselves repeating patterns we learned growing up. Other times, we're working hard to create something different for our children.

Healing doesn't mean being a perfect parent, partner, or person.

Healing can look like:
✨ Taking a pause before reacting
✨ Apologizing when you make a mistake
✨ Talking openly about emotions
✨ Setting healthy boundaries
✨ Asking for support when you need it

The small moments matter.

Every time you choose connection over criticism, curiosity over judgment, or self-compassion over self-blame, you are creating new possibilities for yourself and the people around you.

Small changes today can create a different experience for the next generation.
You don't have to carry everything alone.

At Triello Counselling Services, we support individuals, parents, couples, and families navigating trauma, relationships, life transitions, and intergenerational patterns.

3 Tips to Support Healthy Communication During Conflict πŸ’š

Conflict is a normal part of every relationship.

The goal isn't to avoid conflict, it's to navigate it in a way that helps people feel heard and understood.

✨ 1. Pause Before You Respond When emotions are high, our brains are often focused on protection rather than connection. Taking a few deep breaths or a short break can help you respond thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively.

✨ 2. Focus on Understanding Try asking: "Can you help me understand?" before explaining your own perspective. People are often more open to listening when they feel heard first.

✨ 3. Talk About the Problem, Not the Person Instead of criticism or blame, focus on the specific situation and how it affected you.

For example: ❌ "You never listen." βœ… "I felt unheard when I was trying to share my thoughts."

Healthy communication doesn't mean you'll always agree.

It means creating space for respect, curiosity, and connection, even during difficult conversations.

πŸ’š Small changes in how we communicate can make a big difference in our relationships.

"Healing isn't just about recovering from your past. It's about changing what gets passed on." πŸ’š

Intergenerational trauma can shape the way we see ourselves, manage emotions, build relationships, and respond to stress.

But healing can be passed down too.

Every time you:

✨ Set a healthy boundary
✨ Talk openly about emotions
✨ Ask for help when you need it
✨ Practice self-compassion
✨ Learn new coping skills
✨ Choose connection over silence

You are creating something different.

You are showing the next generation that they don't have to carry every burden alone.

Healing doesn't happen overnight.

It happens in small moments, small choices, and small acts of courage repeated over time.

Whether you're supporting your own healing journey or helping a young person build confidence and resilience, every step matters.

Sometimes the youngest generation carries stories they never lived.

Children and teens often grow up learning from the adults around them.

They learn how to handle emotions, relationships, stress, and self-worth by watching the people they love.

When families have experienced trauma, loss, discrimination, addiction, or hardship, some of those survival patterns can be passed down without anyone meaning to.This is known as intergenerational trauma.

It can show up in young people as:

πŸ’š Anxiety or worry
πŸ’š Low confidence or self-esteem
πŸ’š Difficulty expressing emotions
πŸ’š People-pleasing
πŸ’š Fear of making mistakes
πŸ’š Feeling responsible for others' feelings

The good news? Awareness can help break cycles.

When young people learn healthy coping skills, build confidence, and understand their emotions, they create new possibilities for themselves and future generations.

That's why we're passionate about supporting children, youth, adults and families through resources and programs that promote healing and resilience.

🌱 Thinking About Starting Therapy?

Imagine you decide you want to grow a garden.

You buy the seeds. You find the perfect spot. You picture how beautiful it could be.

But then the doubts show up.

"What if nothing grows?"
"What if I don't do it right?"
"What if I start and can't keep up?"

So the seeds stay in the package.

Starting therapy can feel a lot like that.

Many people think about reaching out long before they actually book a session. It can feel scary to commit time, money, energy, and hope to something new.

The truth is, therapy isn't about having everything figured out before you begin.

It's about taking one small step:
πŸ“… Booking the consultation.
πŸ’¬ Showing up to the first session.
🀝 Building trust with your therapist.
🌿 Giving yourself permission to grow at your own pace.

You don't have to commit to changing your entire life today.

You only have to commit to taking the first step.

The rest happens one conversation at a time.

If you've been thinking about starting therapy, consider this your gentle reminder: you don't need to be in crisis to deserve support.

Healing often begins with a simple decision to show up for yourself.
