Your mental health doesn't exist in a bubble.

Think about the people and spaces around you; your job, your relationships, your community. They all shape how you feel and thrive. This National Wellness Month, it's time to ask yourself: Who's got your back? And just as importantly...who do you have?

We've created something to help you explore this deeper, our Wellness Circles Reflection Tool. It's a chance to see your world more clearly and think about how you can support others.

A friend? A coworker? A family member?

When someone opens up to you, they've made a choice: they trust you. You might not have all the answers. And honestly? You don't need them.

A dangerous myth in HR:
"Our EAP utilization is low, which means our workplace is healthy."
That's not how it works.
A healthy workplace is one where:
• Employees recognize their own mental health challenges
• Managers notice when colleagues are struggling
• People feel safe reaching out for help
• Stigma isn't blocking them
• Colleagues and leaders support them
• Services are actually used

In a truly healthy workplace, EAP and similar programs utilization isn't 4%. It's 15-20%+.

Not because more people are struggling. But because struggling people feel safe asking for help.

The silence isn't health. It's a symptom of a workplace where people are afraid to be human.
Opening Minds Workplace Mental Health Training Solutions creates the kind of workplace where people aren't afraid. The Working Mind teaches managers to notice and care. MHFA teaches employees to recognize and reach out. Where help-seeking is normal. Where you actually see mental health challenges because people are willing to talk about them.

That's a healthy workplace.

Mental health challenges don't always begin with a call to a professional. More often, they begin with a conversation with someone trusted.

That's why Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) matters. It equips everyday people with the skills and confidence to recognize when someone may be struggling, respond with care, and connect them to appropriate support.

Because being there for one another can make all the difference.

Your EAP is an investment.

BUT, EAP alone is not a strategy.

The ROI comes when employees use it.

Many organizations already offer EAPs and mental health supports. The challenge isn't availability, it's ensuring employees feel confident accessing them when they need them.

The Working Mind® and Mental Health First Aid® help build the awareness, confidence, and psychological safety that encourage earlier support-seeking and greater utilization of existing resources.

Because the goal isn't higher utilization for the sake of it.

It's realizing the full value of the mental health investments you've already made.
