I’d rather choose a pain I can control than live with a pain I can’t.

The pain from training builds me. It makes my mind stronger, my body stronger, and my spirit stronger. The pain from avoiding hard things only grows.

That’s why endurance athletes all have a story. Running, Hyrox, marathons... it’s never just about fitness. It’s about who can keep moving when everything inside says stop. Who can smile through the suffering. Who can stay disciplined when nobody’s watching.

I wasted too many years around people who loved talking about changing their lives but never wanted to walk into a gym. Funny how some people won’t walk to the gym, but they’ll walk to the liquor store without thinking twice.

No hate. Just a reminder that your habits reveal your priorities.

These days I choose discomfort with purpose.

Every mile. Every workout. Every setback.

Perspective changes everything.

A while ago, 1 km felt like a challenge. Now it’s just the warm up. The finish line keeps moving because I keep growing.

The goal was never to be perfect. The goal was to become the person who shows up every single day.

Enjoy the journey. Fall in love with the process. One day you’ll look back and realize the things that once seemed impossible became your normal.

“Looking back, I’m just grateful.

What felt like the worst moment of my life turned into one of the biggest blessings. Through it all I got closer to God and found where I was supposed to be all along. I closed the door on a lot of darkness and God opened new doors with people who became family and will be in my life forever.

I’m thankful for every doctor, nurse, therapist, and everyone who helped me get back on my feet. Thankful to the construction sites that gave me another opportunity when I was ready to work again.

Most of all, thank you God for the new relationships, the lessons, and the strength to move forward instead of looking back.

Shout out to my big brother Gabriel, and of course my number one fan, my best friend, my biggest supporter, and my wife, Cassy. ❤️
