Job Summary
We are a growing, patient-focused optometry practice seeking a dynamic and engaging Optical Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between clinical care and retail styling,
helping patients find high-quality eyewear that matches their lifestyle, prescription, and unique personal style. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering an exceptional customer service experience.

Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Patient Styling & Selection: Assist patients in choosing frames and lens options based on their prescription requirements, lifestyle needs, and facial structure.
• Prescription Interpretation: Accurately interpret optical prescriptions
• Fittings & Adjustments: Take precise optical measurements and perform expert frame adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs.
• Lab Coordination: Order lenses from laboratory partners, verify finished eyewear against quality standards, and proactively follow up on outstanding patient orders.
• Administrative Support: Educate patients on insurance billing options, process payments, and schedule follow-up appointments.

Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on optical dispensing or eyewear retail experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-focused demeanor.
• Attributes: Strong multi-tasker, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30-5:00. Wednesday 10:00-7:00. No weekends

Our first Summer Snack Bag is almost here, and we’re just finalizing our list for Tuesday’s pick-up.

There are a few more items that we need help with.
We need:

🍜 40 boxes of Kraft Dinner
🔸 50 bags of Goldfish
🥕 50 bags of veggie straws (any flavour)

Please connect with us if you are unable to drop them off at Dr. Erin Axt, Optometrist office today, tomorrow, or Monday between 8:30-5.

Things are really shaping up for another great summer, especially when we can find the deals, and get some donations. Thank you to everyone that’s already been donating!
