Everyone deserves a safe place to call home and support that meets them where they are.

StreetReach Simcoe County is helping make that possible by bringing support directly into the community, connecting with individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability in shelters, encampments, and other spaces where they may be.

Through outreach, practical supports, and connections to housing, health, mental health, and addiction services, StreetReach is helping people access care and resources with dignity and compassion.

Together with community partners across Simcoe County, we’re building a more connected response to homelessness—one relationship at a time.

Sometimes, the support that makes the biggest difference is meeting an immediate need.

Waypoint’s Emergency Fund helps patients facing urgent financial hardship access essentials like food, transportation, and other emergency supports so they can stay connected to care and focus on their recovery.

Thanks to the generosity of community donors and support from Alectra, this program continues to provide timely, compassionate assistance when people need it most.

We know recovery is about more than treatment. It’s about supporting the whole person.

Today, on World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we stand with survivors and reaffirm our commitment to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and supporting a future free from exploitation.

Trafficking is a complex issue that can have profound and lasting impacts on a person's mental, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Recovery is not a single moment but a journey that is strengthened through compassion, trauma-informed care, and coordinated community support.

At Waypoint, we recognize the importance of working alongside healthcare providers, community organizations, researchers, and people with lived experience to strengthen prevention, improve access to care, and create systems that are responsive to the unique needs of those impacted by violence and exploitation.

Today serves as a reminder that everyone has a role to play in recognizing the signs of trafficking, supporting survivors, and building communities where every person can live in safety, dignity, and hope.

Nature has a remarkable ability to support our wellbeing. Whether it's a walk through the trees, time spent near the water, or enjoying the outdoors with loved ones, spending time in nature can help reduce stress, restore focus, and support positive mental health.

On World Nature Conservation Day, we celebrate not only the importance of protecting our natural environment, but also the role it plays in supporting healing, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

Located on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay, Waypoint is fortunate to be surrounded by a landscape that reflects the restorative power of nature. With waterfront views, forested trails, and green spaces, our setting is part of creating an environment that supports recovery and hope.

As we care for one another, we also recognize the importance of caring for the natural world that sustains us.

What does a supportive place look like for a young person?

It looks like a space where youth can find connection, build confidence, learn new skills, and get support with the things that matter in everyday life.

The North Simcoe Youth Wellness Hub helps young people access mental health care alongside practical supports like employment, education, skill-building, and connections to community resources. We sat down with the team to talk about why employment supports are so important for youth mental health.

Through the generosity of community partners and funders, the Hub is helping remove barriers and create more opportunities for youth to build independence and a future they can feel hopeful about.
