I started the de Belle Centre because I wanted to help people. Period.

Not in a “perfect life, perfect mind” kind of way but in a real way.

My purpose is clear because I’ve lived more than one chapter.

I’ve been the Child in the story trying to figure out the world, trying to feel safe, trying to understand why big feelings show up when you didn’t invite them.

I’ve been the Adult in the wide world pushing forward, building a life, holding responsibilities, and learning that you can look “successful” while feeling completely overwhelmed on the inside.

I’ve been the Parent who’s supposed to be the steady one. The calm one. The one who has all of the answers.

And sometimes… I did not feel steady. Or calm. Or sure of anything.

I’ve known anxiety, depression, stress and financial pressure. I’ve been a single mom and I have been through divorce and legal issues. I’ve even lived trauma and PTSD.

I’ve watched my own kids struggle with the usual growing pains… and also with mental health issues that feel uniquely intense in this generation.

And yes, my house was basically a small country at one point because I had eight teenagers between the ages of 14 and 21 living with me.

Eight.

That’s a home and a group project all rolled into one. 😅

In the middle of all that life, I’ve felt sad, alone and stuck. Don't get me wrong here, I’ve felt happiness too. I’ve had failures that humbled me and I’ve had successes that surprised me.

So when I tell you “I understand,” I’m not saying it as a slogan. I’m saying it as someone who has been through the cycle over and over again.

During those times, I’ve also walked the path of expertise.

I earned my PhD in Psychology at McGill. I studied Behavioral Neurology at Harvard Medical School and I worked on brain imaging studies at MIT.

So I’ve spent years learning the science of the brain… while also living the messy reality of being human.

That’s why de Belle Centre exists!

Let's face it, most people don’t need more motivational quotes. What they need is a place where they can be real, where their symptoms are taken seriously, where their story matters, and where the plan is based on both evidence and compassion.

If you’re in a chapter where you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or just not like yourself… I want you to know this:
