Hello! I am an Early childhood educator who has been working with 3-5 year olds for almost 5 years. Throughout these years, I have noticed the importance of open-ended sensory play.

Observing the children play with sensory bags in my daycare, I realized I wanted to create ones that are relatable and meaningful to our community. Also, I noticed that there wasn’t any sensory bags available for local purchase.

Firstly, It started out as a hobby. I experimented with different materials, themes, colours and toys. As I saw them come together, I loved what I had created. So, instead of keeping them to myself, I wanted to share them with the community! In hopes that they will greatly benefit all our families.

These sensory goods create a connection from the outside to the inside. They create beautiful moments to interact with your child; or if you need sometime for yourself, they can independently play. I have noticed that especially for children with adhd, anxiety, or autism, these sensory bags allow them to ground themselves in play that regulates their nervous system.

The sensory goods are packaged in a way that allows you to view what’s inside them, provides mess-free transportation, allows you to pour into a bin or a bowl, and are resealable for as many uses as you want!

Sensory bags (dump and discover) support child development through play schemas. 💕 Schemas are repetitive behaviours children perform during play to learn more about world. It provides a deep insight into their cognitive growth. There’s 9 common schemas but here are a few I captured during play at my daycare ☺️✨
