As we sit in the afterglow of an absolutely incredible Men’s retreat held by the Brotherhood of Light we have great hope for our world. We often view our world of confusion, pain, suffering, distraction, disease, overstimulation, greed and division. When we take time away from these things it gives us the opportunity to see and remember who we are. Every being on this planet feels there is more to this life than what we have been trained to see. Kirtan is an ancient devotional practice, a meditation involving simple call and response chanting set to music.
There are no performers or audiences or pressure. No experience or skill required. We join voices together, often with our eyes closed, with the harmonium carrying us along.
