Richard and Janine are pleased to introduce the newest member of the Ember of Hope team, Laura Van Somer, who has joined us as our Event Coordinator & Administrative Assistant.

Laura brings a passion for community engagement, organization, and supporting meaningful initiatives. She will assist with coordinating events, managing administrative operations, and helping our programs run smoothly.

Ember of Hope is an Indigenous-led, trauma-informed, and culturally safe organization that provides group counselling and training sessions focused on healing, connection, and wellness. Lauraโ€™s dedication and enthusiasm will be a valuable asset as we continue serving our communities.

Ember of Hope has been traveling ๐Ÿงณ here are just a few glimpses of our travels. We feel so blessed to do this work we love. In addition to the Healing Grief & Indigenous Trauma Informed Gatherings we also offer a one day gathering on the tools. Also, we like to keep in tune with one of our favourite leading experts, on mental wellness, Dr Gabor Mate. We travelled to Calgary to see him speak, we were amongst 10,700 people in attendance. This was his largest attendance at any talk and he travels the world to share his work.
