Did you know that at night our body digests undigested food and unprocessed emotions? This help remove toxins that could create disease, yes emotional toxins also!
The trick is that we have to be ASLEEP for this to happen. And we have to be asleep specifically between the hours of 10:00 pm and 2:00 am. This is an extremely important time of our day. If we follow relaxing bedtime rituals and avoid screen time in the late evening, and practice going to bed by 10:00 pm, we will fall asleep naturally.
During this sleep time, our body will process toxins and will create its own micro nutrients to enhance our health. This is preventative self care and a simple way to take our health into our own hands rather than relying on the medical system to take care of us.
What simple, relaxing bedtime rituals do you engage in that help you fall asleep more easily?

Like aggravates like and opposites balance…this is the motto of Ayurveda.
Kapha/Spring season, until the weather turns warm, is characterized by cold, slow, wet, heavy (think mud) conditions. When these conditions are reflected in our physiology, our digestive fire is low, we have difficulty digesting oily foods, and we experience heaviness, lethargy and weight gain.
Balance comes from opposite qualities, and so we need to eat lighter, warm foods (not raw), activate with specific supplements and movement, keep the elimination channels open, and follow a conscious daily routine.
This is the hallmark of my Ayurvedic Seasonal Reset program that is offered one-on-one and is personalized according to your specific needs. We develop your protocol together. Only a one-hour session is required, with short follow up sessions if needed.

Now is the time to help your body release the liquified toxins. Kapha/spring season is the ideal time to do this because the body naturally liquefies clogged channels. The bitter taste such as is found in dark leafy greens helps move these toxins out. Rapini is the epitome of a dark, bitter green and is only available in the spring time. Connect with me to participate in my one-on-one personalized Ayurvedic spring reset. Very affordable.

According to Ayurvedic principles, like increases like and opposites balance. So for the spring/Kapha season which is starting now and will continue until the end of May or when the weather starts to get warm, we want to counter balance the cold, heavy, dense nature of Kapha. So we want to leave off heavy, sticky type foods, such as cheese, wheat, high fat dairy, squash, sweet desserts. And eat more bitter and astringent vegetables, legumes, and grains. My simple and personalized Ayurvedic weight loss protocol is just the thing to help you shed unwanted palms. You will get a detailed protocol, including food lists, suggested supplements, food lifestyle guidelines, and daily routines to follow. YOU choose as much as, and however, you want to implement. I will hold your hand and guide you through the process. After the initial consultation, we will meet as often as you desire and need. Connect with me for more details and questions.

A Personalized Simple Solution…Are you noticing stronger sunlight and melting snow, running water and muddy spots? Then Kapha season has arrived and it’s time to change the way we eat and change up our routines.
Kapha represents earth and water. It is cold, heavy, dense, lethargic. We start noticing we feel heavier and that we want be more active and get outdoors. We want to throw off the heavy coats (it’s almost time), we want to clear our lungs, we want to move away from the heavy foods of winter. And we want to shed the weight we have gained over winter or over a longer time period.
Kapha season is the best time to do that! It’s a simple matter of making choices that are opposite to Kapha’s qualities. I have developed a personalized, simple solution to weight loss. You get to choose how deeply to engage in the protocol. It involves clear food and lifestyle guidelines based on Ayurvedic principles, plus a one-hour consultation with me to personalize your approach. No stress involved! Short follow up sessions are available after that. Connect with me now to get started.

Re-post worthy. Did you know that sipping hot water throughout the day can help remove Ama (sticky toxins). It is an ideal beverage during Kapha season which has just started in your area if you see stronger sunshine and melting snow.

Hot water therapy. The ultimate free remedy. Sipping hot water throughout the day (about 1/4 cup every half hour) is an Ayurvedic remedy for just about any condition (except if you have acid reflux or burning sensation, just sip lukewarm boiled water). Hot water dissolves “ama”, the sticky substance that blocks the fine channels of digestion and ultimately creates disease. The hot water opens circulatory channels and dissolves impurities from the tissues. Store your hot water in a thermos for the day. And get yourself a stovetop kettle which will allow you to boil your water for ten minutes. It boils away the earthen aspect of water which makes water heavy and you are left with a light, easily digested water of life. Sip well. Be well.
