This morning, as I woke up, life seemed a little different…

I couldn’t quite put my finger on it until I looked at the date.

One year ago, I stood at a crossroads in my healthcare journey.

My next MS infusion was supposed to happen August 8. Instead, it was cancelled—and suddenly I found myself facing fear, uncertainty, tears… and possibility.

After years of treatments that were incredibly difficult on my body, I began asking a different question:

“What does my body need now?”

With my healthcare team involved, I made a deeply personal decision about the next chapter of my care.

Months later, I sat across from my neurologist as he reviewed how I was doing. Hearing him tell me that he had never seen anything quite like the changes he was seeing in me was a moment I will never forget.

For me, it became another piece of the philosophy that now defines my life’s work:

Bridging Western medicine with holistic healthcare. ❤️

Western medicine has been part of my journey.
Holistic healthcare has been part of my journey.
Emotional healing has been part of my journey.
Learning to listen to my body has been part of my journey.

They don’t have to compete.

Today I pause because my body remembers the fear of that time—but I also remember the courage it took to step into the unknown.

This is my personal story, not medical advice. I would never encourage someone to stop MS medication or specialist care without working closely with their healthcare professionals.

What I WILL encourage is this:

Ask questions.
Become curious.
Listen to your body.
Advocate for yourself.
Allow yourself to be heard.
And remember that your diagnosis is part of your story—it doesn’t have to become your entire identity.

Everybody has their own story.

And sometimes healing begins when we stop asking which world is right… and start asking how the worlds can work together.

That is why I do what I do.

Bridging Western medicine and holistic healthcare.

Creating our own little miracles, one day at a time. ❤️

Some mornings remind you just how small the world really is.

Today, I woke up to the most beautiful message and a video I had never seen before from a dear friend in London, England.

We met on the very first night of the Global Summit in Paris. Two strangers from different parts of the world who instantly connected through a shared passion for making a difference in healthcare, leadership, and the lives of others.

Moments like this remind me that the greatest gifts often aren’t the awards, the stages, or the recognition.

They’re the people.

The conversations.
The friendships.
The encouragement.
The reminder that when you follow your purpose, your community begins to span continents.

To my friend across the ocean—thank you for making my morning. Your kindness reminded me that genuine connection has no borders.

Here’s to building bridges, lifting one another up, and creating a world where compassion travels farther than we ever imagined.

❤️ With gratitude,

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your health is simply… pause. 🤍

Today I’m enjoying a beautiful lunch and a quiet moment outside at Bobbi-Joe’s Café. These little moments aren’t a luxury, they’re an important way to help regulate your nervous system.

When life moves at a relentless pace, giving yourself permission to slow down, breathe deeply, and be present can make all the difference. Healing doesn’t always happen in the big moments. Often, it begins in the small ones.

And with the charming patio, beautiful atmosphere, and a gentle breeze… it almost feels like I’m sitting at a café in Paris—right here in Regina, Saskatchewan. 🇫🇷☕️

When was the last time you gave yourself permission to simply pause?

Why I Created The Lily Nurse Holistic Healthcare Inc.

Ever since I was three years old, I knew I wanted to become a nurse.

I dreamed of being someone who could truly care for people, not just by treating illness, but by helping them understand their bodies, their minds, and what they needed to live well.

In the late 1990s, I began my nursing journey and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). Nursing gave me an incredible foundation in science, medicine, critical thinking, and compassionate care.

But over time, I began asking a bigger question…

Why do so many people continue to suffer, even when they have a diagnosis and treatment plan?

That question led me into the world of holistic healthcare.

The more I learned, the more I realized something profound:

One cannot truly exist without the other.

Science and compassion.
Medicine and meaning.
The body and the mind.
Physical health and emotional well-being.

They were never meant to compete, they were meant to work together.

That realization inspired me to create The Lily Nurse Holistic Healthcare Inc.

Today, my mission is to bridge Western medicine with holistic healthcare—helping people understand the connection between their nervous system, stress, trauma, emotions, lifestyle, and physical health, while always honouring each person’s unique story.

Every client, every audience, and every organization is different.

That’s why I continue learning every single day, expanding my knowledge so I can meet people where they are and help create the best possible outcomes for their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Healing isn’t about fitting people into a box.

It’s about seeing the whole person.

If my message resonates with you or your organization, I’d love the opportunity to connect.

🌸 As July Comes to a Close… 🌸

As July comes to a close, I’ve found myself reflecting on just how much can change in a single month.

There have been lessons, unexpected challenges, moments of clarity, and quiet reminders that growth rarely happens all at once—it unfolds one step, one choice, one season at a time.

Over the past six years, there were dreams I carried quietly. Ideas I placed on the shelf while life, healing, and rebuilding took priority. Looking back, I can see those dreams never disappeared—they were simply waiting for the right time.

Today, those visions are coming back into focus.

The courses I’ve dreamed of teaching…
The experiences I’m creating…
Speaking on global stages…
The recognition…
The community that continues to grow…

Each opportunity reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

Yet through all of it, one thing remains unchanged.

My commitment is, and always will be, to bridge Western medicine with holistic healthcare. To create spaces where people feel seen, heard, understood, and empowered to become active participants in their own healing journey.

This morning, during my meditation, my eyes rested on a bouquet of flowers a client gifted me yesterday.

I smiled.

It felt like one of those quiet moments life gives us—a gentle reminder that growth is happening, even when we don’t always notice it.

A simple message.

Keep blossoming. You’re growing in the right direction. 🌸

Thank you to every client, colleague, friend, and supporter who has believed in this vision. You are part of this journey, and I am deeply grateful.

Here’s to continuing to grow with purpose, courage, and hope.

✨Your Past Doesn’t Get the Final Say✨

As a nurse, I’ve witnessed how the body often carries stories the mind has tried to forget. Trauma, chronic stress, grief, loss, and life experiences can leave an imprint on our nervous system, shaping how we think, feel, and respond long after the event has passed.

While we cannot rewrite the chapters behind us, we can change the way the story continues.

Healing isn’t about pretending the past never happened. It’s about recognizing that your experiences may explain where you’ve been, but they do not have to define where you’re going.

Every day offers an opportunity to create new neural pathways, develop healthier patterns, and reconnect with the version of yourself that has always been there beneath survival mode.

Your diagnosis doesn’t define your destiny.
Your trauma doesn’t determine your future.
Your past doesn’t get the final say.

As healthcare continues to evolve, I believe true healing happens when we bridge science, compassion, and the body’s incredible capacity to heal.

What chapter are you choosing to write next?

✨ Hello, July. ✨

Can we make a promise together this month?

To slow down.
To breathe a little deeper.
To stop putting ourselves at the bottom of the list.

So many of us spend our days caring for everyone else that we forget our own bodies are quietly asking for care too.

This month, I invite you to choose wellness—not because you’re broken, but because you deserve to feel your best.

Whether your body is asking for rest, your mind needs peace, or you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, know that healing doesn’t have to be a journey you take alone.

If you’ve been thinking, “I really need to book that session,” maybe this is your sign. 💚

Here’s to a July filled with healing, growth, and choosing yourself without guilt.

I’d love to be part of your journey.

🇨🇦 Proud to be Canadian.
❤️ Proud to call Saskatchewan home.

There is something truly special about being Canadian.

It isn’t just the breathtaking landscapes or the changing seasons—it’s the people. It’s the kindness shared with strangers, the helping hand offered without hesitation, and the sense of community that reminds us we are never truly alone.

Living in Saskatchewan has taught me the beauty of slowing down, waving to your neighbours, gathering with friends and family, and finding joy in the simple moments. From small towns to big cities, there is a spirit of kinship that connects us—a reminder that together we are stronger.

July 1st is a celebration of our country, our communities, and the incredible people who make Canada feel like home.

May your Canada Day be filled with laughter, connection, gratitude, and unforgettable moments with those you love.

Happy Canada Day! 🍁

With gratitude,
Julia Evans

Continuing the Journey of Learning

One of the greatest gifts we can give our clients is our commitment to never stop learning.

I’m grateful to have completed Biodynamics in BodyTalk as a Monitor, I had initially taken this course 7 years ago. This experience reminded me that true mastery isn’t found in reaching a destination, but in remaining a lifelong student.

As healthcare practitioners, our responsibility extends beyond certification. It means continually strengthening our competency, challenging our understanding, relearning what we thought we knew, reevaluating our perspectives, and expanding our knowledge so we can better serve those who trust us with their healing journey.

What is Biodynamics?

Biodynamics in BodyTalk explores the body’s innate intelligence beyond anatomy and physiology. It deepens our understanding of how consciousness, subtle energetic patterns, and the body’s self-healing mechanisms work together to support health and balance.

Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, Biodynamics helps practitioners recognize the deeper communication occurring within the body—supporting healing on the physical, emotional, mental, and energetic levels.

For me, this training isn’t simply another course completed. It’s another step toward becoming the practitioner my clients deserve—one who continues to grow, evolve, and serve with greater knowledge, humility, and compassion.

Growth never ends.
Healing never stops.
And neither should our commitment to learning.

Thank you to the BodyTalk community, instructors, and fellow practitioners for another inspiring chapter.

✨ Always learning. Always evolving. Always here to help others heal.
