TASCHUK, Kent
With the heaviest of hearts, the family of Kent Taschuk share the news of his sudden passing on August 3, 2026 at the age of 41 years. Beloved husband, father, uncle, brother, good friend, Kent will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Kent leaves behind his beloved wife of 12 years, Michelle; his children, Natalya and Rylee; his loving mother, Linda; brother, Brett (Laurie); mother and father-in-laws, Barry and Yolande; sister-in-law, Danielle (Steven); brother-in-law, Darren (Julie); as well as nieces and nephews, Ayden, Kayden, Kaley, Quinn, Hunter, Greyson and Harlan; extended family, and many dear friends. Kent is now peacefully and joyfully reunited with his son, Emmett; his father, Larry; and the many other family members and loved ones who went before him. We find comfort in knowing that he is once again surrounded by those he loved so dearly, embraced in a reunion beyond this life.
Kent was a man who lived loudly, laughed often, and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He passed away leaving a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
Kent’s greatest joy and proudest achievement was the family he built. He possessed a deep, unconditional love for his families, both near and far. He was passionate about driving and his travels. He was jovial, and possessed a true thrill-seeking nature, always drawn to the excitement of life. Yet, being away on the road was often difficult for him, as his heart truly belonged at home with the people he loved.
Known for his authentic, no give a damn attitude, Kent was a straight shooter who always told it like it was. At the same time, he was a natural storyteller with an infectious energy, Kent made friends wherever he went. He truly could talk to anyone, turning strangers into friends in a matter of minutes. He was a man of immense generosity, always willing to give to others even when he had nothing left to give himself.
While those he leaves behind are now painfully trying to make their way forward without him, his spirit remains. Though he is no longer with us in person, Kent’s name will still often be spoken, his stories will be retold, and the unforgettable memories he made will live forever in our hearts.
The family has chosen to forgo a formal service, but invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Kent’s memory in whatever way feels meaningful to them. If desired, donations in Kent’s memory are appreciated and may be made to a trust account which has been established to help support Michelle and the girls during this challenging time. All funds raised will go directly to support Natalya and Rylee, helping to provide for their needs and future.
Those wishing to offer financial support may do so by:
- Making a deposit at any ATB Financial Branch to the Natalya and Rylee Taschuk Trust Account; or
- Sending an e-transfer to [email protected]
