My mom just graduated from the Stay Strong program supported by Horizon Health Network/Réseau de santé Horizon, Charlotte County Cancer and the Charlotte County Hospital Foundation — and it means more than a certificate.

It’s strength rebuilt. Confidence restored. Independence regained.

Watching her go through this reminded me what truly works in our system: when healthcare, wellness, and community supports come together.

Bola and her family are beloved in our community and our Home Support team, and we are so fortunate they chose St. Stephen as their home. Hospice of Charlotte is looking for caring and compassionate volunteers to join their team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in Charlotte County who are living with a life-limiting illness.
As a volunteer, you'll provide comfort, connection, and support through services such as companionship, emotional support, caregiver support, and respite care
No previous experience is required. Volunteers will receive 20 hours of training to help them feel confident and prepared for their role.
Volunteering with Hospice of Charlotte is a rewarding opportunity to give back to your community, build meaningful connections, and bring comfort to those who need it most.
