This carousel is a joke, but the fibre gap isn’t. 😆
Despite all the attention given to gut health, blood sugar, cholesterol, and appetite these days, most people still aren’t getting enough fibre. The irony is that fibre has one of the strongest bodies of evidence behind it. It supports digestive health, helps feed beneficial gut microbes, can help lower cholesterol, supports healthy blood sugar levels, and helps keep us feeling satisfied after meals.
If a brand-new supplement launched tomorrow with all of those benefits, it would probably sell out in a week.
Instead, it’s fibre. It’s been around all along, doing its job in foods like beans, oats, lentils, fruits, vegetables, and seeds.
We’ve been chasing breakthroughs while ignoring the basics.
