The Board of Directors of Naomi & Ruth Women's Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its governance board effective September 4, 2026: David Hawkins and Dale Ritchie.
About David Hawkins
David Hawkins is a communications professional known for the strategy behind Moncton's economic resurgence, "The Moncton Miracle," earning him regional, national, and international recognition. As a philanthropist, he has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for charities supporting the most vulnerable, serving organizations such as Crossroads for Women, Hospice Southeast New Brunswick, and the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute. He has also personally donated millions to local charities and is a champion of Sistema NB, a children's music program.
About Dale Ritchie
Dale Ritchie has served on numerous boards including three University Boards, and has served as Past President of the Capitol Theatre, the Boys and Girls Club, the Saint John Rotary club and is currently serving with Able Sail. Dale has been a business owner, a multi store Tim Horton franchisee and most recently completed 26 years as President and owner of McKenzie College in Moncton. Dale is married to Lynn and they have 3 adult children and spouses and have three grandchildren. They live between the Shediac area and Moncton and travel extensively.
