Health and community service providers play an essential role in supporting older adults and their families.

Nana's Navigator complements that work by helping older adults and their families understand their options, prepare for key conversations, and confidently navigate the supports available to them.

Together, we can build stronger, more connected communities.

In June, we launched the Alberta Caregiver-Centered Navigation Network, and the response has been incredible. πŸ’™

Our members already include navigators, care partners, healthcare providers, community organizations, researchers, and leaders from across Alberta who are passionate about helping people navigate health and social systems.
Whether you support older adults, children and youth, individuals living with disabilities, or those facing mental health or chronic health challenges, this network is for you.

We would love to welcome even more voices to the conversation at our next meeting on September 22.

Looking for meaningful work that you can do from anywhere in Alberta?
Caregivers Alberta is currently hiring a full-time Caregiver Coachβ€”and one of the most exciting aspects of this opportunity is that it is a remote position.

For those living in rural and smaller communities, this role offers the chance to make a difference in the lives of caregivers across the province while continuing to live and work in the communities you call home.

As a Caregiver Coach, you will provide one-on-one coaching, peer support, education, and connections to valuable resources, helping caregivers navigate complex systems and feel supported throughout their journey.

If you have a background in health, social services, or education and are passionate about supporting caregivers and their families, I encourage you to take a look.
Supporting caregivers means supporting entire families and communities. πŸ’™

βœ”οΈ Senior resources
βœ”οΈ Community supports
βœ”οΈ Care planning
βœ”οΈ Where to go next

We help connect the dots, because navigating aging, caregiving, and healthcare should not feel like a full-time job.

🌻 Monday Motivation

If no one has told you lately:

πŸ’› It's okay to ask for help.
πŸ’› It's okay to feel overwhelmed.
πŸ’› It's okay to take a break.
πŸ’› It's okay to lean on your community.

Care Partners spend so much time supporting others that they often forget they deserve support too.

Consider this your reminder. You have people in your corner.

A quick phone call. A cup of coffee. A visit. A text message.

Sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest difference, especially for seniors who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation.

This week, challenge yourself to connect with one older adult in your life.
