In less than 2 weeks, it’ll be 2 years of Missing.
We’ve had tips come in but they’ve been various directions outside of Sioux Lookout.
Still, thank you for sharing and taking the time to reach out to the officials for those who did.

The Day Jeremy went missing,
the family member in last contact with him knew it was of big concern due to the way he exited, and left his phone behind.
He did ask a couple people to join him to go North, somewhere he’s felt as a place that he can return to years to leading up to this.

They’ve searched around the perimeter of Sioux lookout I.e any water bottles, belongings that were dropped etc., we have maps of so many trials and routes. For that, we are so grateful.
At the same time, there’s so much to be considered in the area around Sioux Lookout like borders of lakes potentially 30-60km to be covered each direction at least, the Canadian rail way and 1-5km inward, deeper trails or his own that he blazed.

Jeremy is very active, self-reliant and he is able to go the distance due to his high endurance that he’s built over a life time.
Walking was always his preference of mobility. Since that day, and until today Jeremy could only know how and where he is,

We will not be doing any searches this month or likely this summer 2026. It will be a standstill for this 2 year mark right now.

We always think of him and his spirit like all of us, is there for love and wanting to feel like he’s valued. And He is so much, very much to us, and it’s the fact that we have so much love for him but constantly feel how we didn’t get that last conversation with him how we can contact him in a reliable manner and be able to locate from what coordinate if such case were to occur.

God help us, those involved, and those who have been there since day one
and
help our hearts heal 💛

A missing person’s investigation is a public matter due to the high use of resources and information exchange.
Most importantly, it does NOT seek approval for popular opinion thought out the entire process.
It is a serious life changing situation for many families that experience this nightmare. Or daymare because it’s all hours.

In the recent public responses, Alvin Fiddler, Grand Chief of 49 communities continues to advocate and honour the missing and murdered Indigenous lives.
When Jeremy Sergerie went missing, the OPP contacted Alvin to also seek guidance, he knows exactly what occurs on both ends. They were able to keep that focused and zone into Jeremy’s supposed destination of both across Ontario into Treaty 9. Working together was essential and
is for EVERY case between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous when Indigenous families under the Indian Act are impacted.

Cultural humility, sensitivity and awareness are essential to prevent circulating dismissive, and hurtful opinions that are publicly viewable.
Work is not just simply passive in locating a missing life.
It requires trust and honesty.
In hand, leads a case closer to find a loved one and offering basic human respect to everyone involved.

23 months of Missing Jeremy and not a day passes that is gets “easier”. Treat each other well.

Jeremy will be 25 on May 12th.
We have received so many messages from Nature, the Land and we’ve thanked the Land for everything.
So much has been put into looking, thinking and trying, though it’s hard when you don’t know.

We do know the land listens and continues to lead us to the most special soul. And we won’t give up because he’s worth it all.

💛A few weeks after I made this page …
on April 10th, 2025 - national sibling day, I found both the brightest feather and flower laying within a few meters apart
Right in the Centre of Sioux Lookout,
on front street near the park where people rest and sit to enjoy the towns life in motion.
So, SO amazing when you truly think about it.
💛
