Fatherhood can be deeply meaningful — and at times, overwhelming, emotional, exhausting, and complex too. Dads deserve support, encouragement, and space for their mental health just as much as anyone else.

To all the dads and father figures in our community: thank you for all the seen and unseen ways you care for those around you.

Meet Harmony! Harmony has been working at FLP for 4.5 years and her smile lights up any room she walks into. In the clinic, her room is full of all the fun toys as she is a Therapeutic Play Practitioner!🧸🪀 🚂 🧩When she is not in the clinic, you might see her out in the community doing psychoeducational testing or behaviour consulting.

Harmony has a sweet dog, Milo. 🐕 He is a 10 year old Border Collie/Husky. He is the most gentle loveable 50 lb lap dog. 🐾

Professionally, Harmony is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. She works alongside clients to identify their strengths and vulnerabilities, foster connection, and to develop strategies that align with their unique goals and values. ✨

Garden Series Part 5: Finally, the weather is supposed to warm up this week! 🤞 Reminder, our seedlings that we started in March are still fragile. Wait until the last frost to plant the seedlings in the ground or in a pot outdoors. In Alberta, this is usually the May long weekend.

For best success, plan to harden your seedlings outside before planting them. On Day 1, you could set them outside for a few hours in the shade, then on Day 2 in the sun. Bring them in every night. Do this for about 3-5 days before you fully transplant them into their permanent summer home! This allows them to get used to direct sunlight & wind.
