We are very excited to announce a new member joining our team to help serve clients in a very unique and critical field-behaviour!!! Dr. Claire Bihannic is a residency-trained veterinary behaviourist and psychiatrist who has been consulting exclusively in behavioural medicine for the past four years. She holds a French degree in Veterinary Psychiatry and completed her residency with the American College of Veterinary Behaviourists (ACVB) at the Université de Montréal. She also earned a Master's degree in Clinical Sciences, conducting research on compulsive behaviours in non-domestic felids.
As an experienced clinical educator, Dr. Bihannic enjoys teaching her specialty through lectures at the university and conferences, and helping caring owners understand what's really going on in their companion's brain and mind. Through passion and empathy, she works with families to address behavioral and psychiatric disorders and improve the quality of life of dogs, cats, horses, small mammals, birds, and even zoo species.
When she's not developing behavioural therapy and treatment plans or helping pets and their parents live more harmonious lives, you'll likely find her exploring canadians mountains with her Entlebucher Mountain Dog, Oswald, knitting, or playing the harp with her rescue cat Simone serving as a highly attentive (and critical) audience.
Please stay tuned for when Claire will be able to accept new patients and referrals!
