Ain't that the truth!

Sometimes things seem so obvious in hindsight. But if they really were that obvious, you'd have seen them then.

You didn't know what you didn't know. And sometimes, you couldn't have known until you lived through it.

One of my biggest lessons? I don't have to know how I'll handle something before I'm willing to face it. I can trust myself to figure it out along the way.

Also, learning to read tarot cards! It's been challenging, but so much more fun than I expected! Who knew?! 😂

Your turn! What's something you've learned lately that only experience could have taught you? Big revelations and little discoveries both count! 💚

I just finished swimming while my son is at soccer, and as I was moving through the water, I found myself reflecting on how pleased I am with the direction my life is taking.

My business is growing and expanding. I'm putting in the work. I'm moving my body again. I'm creating a life that feels more and more like mine.

And I'm doing all of this despite the last two years being some of the most difficult of my adult life.

A friend keeps telling me how resilient I am.

But you know what? I really don't like that word!

Resilience feels like constantly having to bounce back from whatever life throws at me. Like I'm forever trying to keep my head above water.

I prefer persistent. Or better yet, tenacious!

Because I'm not just surviving what's happening to me. I'm actively creating what comes next.

And tonight, I had this beautiful, glowing moment of pride in myself. For everything I've navigated, everything I've built, and everything I'm still becoming.

And it got me thinking...

What if the next chapter of your life doesn't require you to prove how much difficulty you can endure?

What if you get to build it through enjoyment, curiosity, devotion, and choice instead?

Maybe it's time to stop measuring our strength by what we can survive and start celebrating what we choose to create. 💚

What are you ready to create in your next chapter? 💚

If you're ready to move beyond simply surviving and start intentionally creating a life you love, I'd love to walk alongside you.

I was about to start work this morning, but I decided to go for a little walk instead, to the gorgeous little duck pond across the street from my house.

A little walk before settling into my first real work day as **Pamela Elari**.

I was “praying” to life as I walked, declaring, **“I am READY.”........**

The smells of fall reminded me of “back home” on the farm. My childhood was complicated, but there are memories from that time when I remember feeling incredibly alive.

Harvest was one of them.

It was busy. Exhilarating. Exhausting. Everyone had a part to play, and everyone came together to get the harvest done.

There was something about knowing: *This is my job. This is my part. Let’s go.*

And lately, I’ve been feeling that again.

Today’s declaration followed the wisdom of the card that Hailey pulled for me yesterday. (She’s 11 and wants to learn, which I absolutely love!)

**Write a letter to the Universe.**

Well, naturally I have mostly ignored the “write” portion of the assignment and have instead been boldly declaring things to the Universe, both out loud and in my mind. 😂

**I am ready.**

I am ready to embrace this shift in my work.

I am ready to step fully into **Pamela Elari**.

I am ready to be available to the women who are ready to make a deep commitment to themselves—to accelerate their self-mastery, reclaim their power, and take charge of their lives.

And I am ready for the honour of walking beside them while they do it.

AND GET THIS. (You can’t make this stuff up!)

So there I was, wandering around the duck pond in my favourite bright yellow **BE KIND** sweater, making my declarations to Life, when I saw an older woman sitting on a bench up ahead in this fabulous long yellow coat.

As I got closer, she stood up and started walking around the pond ahead of me.

And immediately I thought:

*She looks like me in 20 years.*

And then I thought, *I want to know how amazing she feels after 20 glorious years of helping women step into their power and take charge of their lives.*

So there I was, following this fabulous yellow-coated Future Pamela around the pond 😂, when another woman started walking toward me on the path.

And at the next bench, I saw a discarded coffee sleeve on the ground.

It said:

**PRÊT.**

Ready.

You cannot make this stuff up!

Here I am, declaring my love for my purpose to the Universe—**I AM READY**—following a woman I’ve decided represents me 20 years into my future...

And there it is on the path in front of me, reflecting it back:

**READY.**

This was especially exciting for me because I love languages...

Side note: Last week I was telling my business coach, Tanya, that I was “achieving my dreams” in my three favourite languages.

Do I speak these languages?

No.

Well, some Spanish. 😂

**Estoy logrando mis sueños!**
**Sto realizzando i miei sogni!**
**Ich verwirkliche meine Träume!**

I am achieving my dreams!

(I am German, so no wonder my dreams sounded so scary. Träume... trauma... 😂)

And today?

**THE UNIVERSE SPOKE FRENCH BACK TO ME.**

😂😂😂

I crack myself up.

But truly—

**This is what coming alive feels like.**

Being scared and in love with life at the same time.

So this is also my little announcement:

My work is transitioning into **Pamela Elari**.

**The Connected Nurse** has served me so well. I love her. She was brave enough to start this work before I knew exactly what it would become.

But I’m not her anymore.

After the explosion of the life I knew—and the subsequent rebuild—here I am.

Not a totally new me.

More like… an updated format. 😂

I’m still changing everything over. Apparently Past Internet Me has left little pieces of The Connected Nurse EVERYWHERE, and I keep finding them and changing them to Elari.

But that’s what I’ve been up to lately.

Updating the pieces.

Trusting what I’m building.

Stepping more fully into my work.

And opening myself to the women who are ready to find me.

**I’m ready.**

Fancy new life, here I come. ❤️

The day I started my own business, I sat in shock for hours.

Then I cried.

Not a graceful movie cry.

An ugly "What am I doing?" cry.

The kind where you sit there wondering if you've completely lost your mind.

I'd been a nurse for 14 years.

Public Health Nursing had been a huge part of my identity.

I loved helping families.

I loved health promotion.

I loved being useful.

But there was another side of me that had been quietly growing for years.

The side fascinated by energy.

Intuition.

EFT.

Past Life/Akashic Records Healing

Mediumship.

Flower Essence Wisdom.

Vibrational Healing.

The side that noticed things I couldn't always explain.

The side that knew healing wasn't just physical.

Starting my business meant bringing those worlds together.

The nurse.

And the guide.

The science.

And the intuition.

The practical.

And the spiritual.

That felt terrifying.

What if nobody took me seriously?

What if people thought I'd lost my mind?

What if I failed?

What if I was wrong?

I sat with those questions for a long time.

Then I realized something.

Every meaningful decision in my life had felt scary.

Having kids.

Leaving my marriage.

Starting over.

Building a new life.

Every single one.

Fear had never been proof I was making the wrong choice.

Most of the time it was proof I was growing.

Today I still use everything nursing taught me.

The knowledge.

The critical thinking.

The ability to listen.

The ability to notice what isn't being said.

I've simply added more tools.

A deeper understanding of what it means to heal.

The tools expanded.

The mission didn't.

I still help people heal.

And honestly?

I've never felt more like myself.

❤️

P.S. What's one decision you made that scared you at the time but ended up changing your life?

Reminder:

You don't have to solve your whole life today.

Drink your coffee while it's still hot.

Go outside for five minutes.

Pet the dog.

Hug the kids.

Text the friend.

Watch the clouds.

Take the long way home.

Healing isn't only found in the big breakthroughs.

It's also found in tiny moments that remind you life is happening right now.

Don't miss today while you're waiting for everything to be perfect.

❤️

One of my former clients told me something I'll never forget.

During our final session together, she sat down and instead of bringing another problem to solve, she spent the next hour telling me everything that had changed in her life since we started working together.

I started writing.

And writing.

And writing.

By the end of the session, I had an entire page covered in notes.

It was a list of all the changes she noticed she'd made over our time together.

There were a lot of them.

Out of everything on that page, one thing stood out.

It wasn't feeling calmer.

Or more confident.

Or more intuitive.

It was her relationship with her sister.

For years every conversation felt tense.

Lots of advice.

Lots of worry.

Lots of frustration on both sides.

Then something changed.

Not her sister.

Her.

She became more curious.

More patient.

Less attached to being right.

Less attached to controlling the outcome.

She stopped carrying responsibility for things that weren't hers.

And slowly the relationship softened.

One day she realized they were actually enjoying each other.

For the first time in her memory.

The freedom I wish more people knew about is emotional freedom.

The freedom of not needing everyone around you to behave a certain way before you can enjoy your life.

That's priceless.

❤️

P.S. Have you ever noticed a relationship change because you changed first?

You know a woman everyone calls selfish.

She leaves work on time.

She takes vacations.

She blocks off an hour every day for herself.

She says no when she means no.

She gets enough sleep.

She goes for walks.

She reads books.

She protects her peace.

At first you judge her.

A little. (Maybe a lot).

Then one day you have coffee with her.

And she's calm.

Present.

Healthy.

Happy.

Not because she has less responsibility.

Because she treats herself like someone worth caring for.

That's when it hits you.

Maybe she isn't selfish.

Maybe you've been selfless.

As in...

Giving and giving and giving until there's nothing left for you.

And suddenly you realize:

"Selfless" isn't actually the goal.

But you don't want to be selfish either.

I think the goal is Self-ISH.

Yes, I completely made that up. 😂

Self-ISH.

As in...

Mostly Self.

You finally put your needs on the list too.

Mostly Self.

With enough left over to share.

Not just give away.

What a concept.

You matter too.

❤️

P.S. What's one thing you could do for yourself this week without feeling guilty?

Today smells like that time I spent 12 straight months in the rain 🤪

When I was 23, I took a long holiday to New Zealand during the "coldest winter on record in 60 years" where it rained every day for 2 months.

When I got back, I moved to a rain forest Island near Prince Rupert where I was substitute teaching kindergarten... it rained at least once a day for another 10 months....

Funny how smell can take us right back 💞

A few years ago I couldn't tell the difference between my intuition and my anxiety.

Everything felt loud.

Every decision felt heavy.

Every choice came with twenty backup opinions.

One day I was sitting in my kitchen trying to make a relatively small decision.

I had already asked three friends.

Read six articles.

Made a pros and cons list.

(Wish I was joking.)

At some point I caught myself laughing.

Because none of those people had to live my life.

Only I did.

That's when I started paying attention to something different.

Not my thoughts.

My energy.

How my body felt around certain people.

How my chest felt when I said yes when I really meant no.

How light I felt when something was actually right for me.

How exhausted I felt when I was trying to force something that wasn't.

That's why I talk about spiritual hygiene so much.

My clients are probably laughing right now because they know exactly what's coming.

My first question is usually:

"Have you been doing your hygiene?"

And if the answer is no, we do it together right then and there.

Because every single time, something shifts.

Not because I gave them the answer.

Usually it's more like:

"Oh."

"There it is."

"I knew that already."

The answer was already there.

It was just buried under everyone else's opinions, expectations, fears, and noise.

Once the noise settles, people are often surprised by how clearly they can hear themselves.

That's the funny thing about self-trust.

It usually isn't something we build.

It's something we uncover.

We need less noise so we can remember what we feel like.

❤️

P.S. I have a free Spiritual Hygiene guide on my website under RESOURCES. Comment HYGIENE and I'll send you a recording.
