Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! 🍂

Thanksgiving is one of those weekends that reminds us to slow down for a minute and appreciate the people we’re lucky enough to have around us.

When we look around our clinic, we really do feel incredibly grateful, for our wonderful patients, our staff, our friends, our family and this Surrey community we get to call home.

For us, this weekend is all about spending time with the people we love, eating good food and taking a little time to recharge. We hope you get to do the same. 🥧

Fall Faves From Your Chiropractor Team! 🍂

It’s officially fall, which means we asked the team one very important question:

What’s your favourite part of the season?

☕ YY: Give her a crisp fall day, a walk to admire all the changing leaves and a seasonal drink in hand and she’s happy. Pumpkin spice chai? Yes, please.

🏕️ Rob: He’s all about getting outside with the Scouts for some fall adventures. Cooler weather, campfires and a good old-fashioned campout? Count him in.

📚 Cristina: She’s ready for all things cozy. Fall movies, a good book, comfy clothes, a little extra rest and all those quiet moments that make the season feel special.

We spend a lot of our days helping our patients move better, feel better and stay active, but we think feeling your best also means making time for the things you genuinely enjoy.

Whether that’s getting outside, staying active, baking something delicious or simply slowing down with a good book, take a little time for yourself this fall. Your body will thank you for it. 🤍

Today we’re celebrating the guy who brings so much fun, energy and personality to the office every day! 💙

Whether he’s joking around with the team, making patients smile or keeping everyone laughing, Dr. Rob has a way of making the clinic feel like family.

Outside the office, he’s an amazing dad and a dedicated member of our community. Through his work with 6th Peace Arch Scouts, he gives his time and energy to help create meaningful experiences and adventures for the next generation. 🏕️🌲

Which means we have a pretty good excuse to talk about something we care about!

Your body does a LOT for you.

It gets you out of bed, takes you to work, carries the groceries, gets you through a workout, lets you play with the kids, walk the dog, go for a hike and hopefully enjoy a little dancing in the kitchen too.

Most of the time, we don’t think twice about any of it… until something starts to hurt.

That’s why we love what we do. Helping people move well, feel better and get back to doing the things that make them happy is pretty rewarding.

And taking care of your body doesn’t have to be complicated. A few simple things can go a long way:

✅️ Keep moving throughout the day
✅️ Change positions instead of staying in one spot for hours
✅️ And most importantly, pay attention when your body is telling you something

So this month, take a minute to appreciate your body, and maybe give it a little TLC while you’re at it. 🤍

We took this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as an opportunity to attend the 1st Semiahmoo First Nation event. We had the privilege of listening to Phyllis Webstad, the woman whose story inspired Orange Shirt Day, which has become an important part of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

It was eye-opening to hear the stories of residential school survivors and learn about the difficult and painful experiences they were forced to endure. Hopefully, as the years pass, we can continue to learn from the past, never forget what happened, and work toward building a stronger and more respectful relationship with Indigenous peoples.

For us at the clinic, wearing these shirts isn't just a gesture, it’s a commitment to pause, listen, reflect, and learn.

This day carries immense weight, and it is a vital opportunity for all of us to honour the children who never returned home, the resilient survivors of residential schools, and their families.
