Life update…

As many of you know, I’ve been on a hiatus from hands-on doula work — and this little bundle of love is exactly why. 💕

While I hope to return to birth work someday, right now my heart and focus are fully devoted to being a mama to two beautiful humans.

Thank you all for the love, patience, and support during this season of life. 💛☮️

Taking a moment to share a little life update 🌼
With some shifts happening at home, I’ll be stepping back from hands-on birth work for a short while.

I’m still here for you in all the other ways I support families—birth info calls, private partner classes, mother’s blessings, placenta prints, and any questions you may have.

Thank you for being such a loving and supportive community. I’m looking forward to returning to hands-on work when the time is right.

I first came across placenta prints years ago and was instantly intrigued. Finally giving it a try has been such a mindful, beautiful process—and I’m completely in love.

It’s that time again — Prenatal Yoga is starting up in Meaford with me as your guide!

In this series, you’ll explore gentle poses to ease discomfort, support your changing body, and keep your joints moving with ease. We’ll also practice breathwork and meditation to help you feel grounded, calm, and connected throughout your pregnancy journey.

✨ The Journey Isn’t Over When Baby Arrives ✨
Some people think birth ends when the baby is born… but there’s one last stage: the birth of the placenta 💖

After your little one takes their first breath, your body gently works to release the organ that kept them nourished for months. This is called the third stage of labour, and it usually happens within 5–30 minutes.

As your doula, I’m there for this stage too — making sure you’re comfortable, supported, and savouring those first moments of skin-to-skin while your body completes its work.

🌿 Birth is a series of transitions, and each stage matters. And I’ll be there. Each step of the way.

Did you use hydrotherapy at all during your labour? 💧

The benefits are endless….

Pain relief, relaxation, empowerment, smoother transition and increased mobility. It’s been said it can also help to lead to shorter labours, reduced need for pain medication, and an overall more enjoyable birthing experience. Some studies even suggest it can decrease the risk of episiotomy and perineal tears. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I’ve supported many births where the birthing people have utilized this comfort measure and it really is such a beautiful option for labour.

💫 Story time 💫

8 years ago I decided to take a leap and complete my 200 hour Yoga Teaching certification. The classes were held in Beth Rutty’s beautiful studio. (pictured above) While learning about all things yoga I was briefly introduced to Prenatal Yoga. I was instantly hooked! It was love at first learn. I went on to complete my 80 hour Prenatal Yoga teaching certification provided by Shannon Crow. (This was also offered in Beth’s studio)
I was and am so blessed to have learned from these teachers and continue to learn from their offerings.

When I look back I remember feeling nervous, scared, unsure and wearisome about the things to come. Constant thoughts that I would never accomplish anything from what I had learned. (Self doubt showing up at it’s finest)

And here we are…that once naive young yogi now teaching her 20th Prenatal Yoga series and loving every minute of it. A full circle moment. 😌🙏🏼
