Peel Season Is Coming!

As Taylor would say "August slipped away into a moment in time"

As pumpkin spice season gets closer, it’s also time to start thinking about getting our skin ready for fall.

So, what does that mean?

• Correcting the effects of summer
• Refreshing & brightening the skin
• Improving the appearance of uneven texture & tone
• Priming your skin for the cooler months ahead

Professional chemical peels can help refresh, brighten, tighten, and illuminate the appearance of the skin.

Summer skin + fall peel season = the perfect reset.

If your skin needs a little refresh after summer, peel season is calling.

Happy Girl Math Friday!

Preventative treatments now = spending less on corrective treatments later.

Taking care of your skin early helps enhance and maintain your results, often requiring less product, fewer treatments, and less $ over time.

How are we treating skin texture and acne scars?

○ Microneedling
Creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen production, helping improve skin texture and soften the appearance of acne scars.

○ Chemical Peels
Exfoliate the outer layers of the skin, promoting cell turnover to smooth uneven texture, reduce discoloration, and improve the appearance of acne scars.

○ Retinol
A vitamin A derivative that increases cell turnover and stimulates collagen production, helping refine skin texture and reduce the appearance of acne scars over time.

Combining in-clinic treatments with medical-grade skincare routine can help achieve smoother, healthier-looking skin.

Every treatment plan is customized with a consultation. Treatment frequency and timing are tailored to each individual's skin type, concerns, and goals to ensure safe and effective results.

It's Acne Awareness Month – let's talk about it!

Understanding the underlying causes and identifying your triggers can help you achieve clearer, healthier skin with the right routine and treatment plan.

The main causes of acne:
• Excess oil (sebum) production – Hormonal changes can trigger overactive oil glands.
• Clogged pores – Dead skin cells and excess oil can clog the hair follicle.
• Bacteria – Oil and bacteria become trapped inside the pores.
• Inflammation – Your body's immune system reacts to the trapped bacteria, causing redness, swelling, and sometimes painful breakouts.

Acne triggers you might be missing:
• Dirty phone screens, pillowcases, and towels.
• Comedogenic skincare, makeup, and hair products.
• Cleansing too little or too much – Cleanse morning and evening, and after excessive sweating, but avoid over-exfoliating, which can damage the skin barrier.
• Skipping moisturizer – Keeping your skin hydrated and protecting the skin barrier is essential for healthy skin.
• Skipping sunscreen – Daily sun protection helps prevent inflammation and post-acne marks from becoming more noticeable.

Acne is a journey, and healthy skin starts with consistency.

If someone tells you to wear sunscreen, it's because they care about you and your skin.
