Oxygen equipment comes in different shapes and sizes depending on what a child needs throughout the day! 🫁✨

Smaller, portable oxygen tanks are designed for being on the go, making it easy to head out for appointments, school, etc.

Larger home tanks or concentrators use long tubing connections instead. This lets kids move around freely, play, and explore their entire home safely on oxygen without having to carry a heavy tank everywhere they go!

Seen a tiny plastic button on a child’s belly? That’s a G-tube (gastrostomy tube)! Here’s the quick breakdown 👇

What it is: A direct "Express Lane" into the stomach for food, water, and meds, completely bypassing the mouth and throat.

How it works: A tiny water balloon inside the stomach holds a flat button on the outside. A flexible tube snaps in when it's time to eat using a syringe, bag, or electronic pump.

Why kids need them: Kids need G-tubes (gastrostomy tubes) when they cannot get enough nutrition, hydration, or medication safely by mouth.

The main takeaway: It isn't scary and it doesn't hurt. It’s just medical tech, like glasses or braces, that gives kids the energy to play, learn, and thrive!
