Living well and supporting others in living well is something that lies at the very core of my being.

When we honour ourselves by savouring, cherishing, and appreciating every day that we’re blessed to know, we’re making the most of our existence.

In doing so, we tend to feel differently about the difficulties in front of us. We tend to feel more empowered and enlivened, more prepared to face life’s challenges, including Divorce. Because Living Well is synonymous with Divorcing Well.

Are you experiencing the fullness of joy in your life? If the answer isn’t a resounding “YES!”, then let’s find a time chat.

The Divorce landscape is fraught with difficult conversations. At some point during your separation or divorce journey, whether speaking with your spouse, your children, friends, family, or family law professionals, you will find yourself involved in difficult conversations.

Your ability to successfully navigate these conversations will lead to a greater sense of contentment, pride and satisfaction both during and after the divorce resolution. To be able to look back on this painful time with fewer regrets and resentments is the very essence of Divorcing Well.

Separation and Divorce touch every aspect of your life and can alter all the plans or ideas you’ve had for yourself so far.

But that doesn’t have to be the end of your story. And for so many of my clients, letting go of these constructs enables them to create and follow new paths. Better paths. Paths they would’ve never imagined in former versions of themselves.

Are you ready to release your plans? Are you ready to let go? Are you ready to make space for a new phase of your life?
And would you benefit from support along the way?

Incomplete tasks, unresolved issues, unmet needs, crossed boundaries, guilt, poor movement/nutrition/sleep habits, indecision, procrastination, clutter, overdue invoices, outdated design, tidiness, behaviour (yours and others) and the list goes on.

Do any of these resonate with you?

It’s been my personal experience and that of my Divorce Coaching clients that we all seem to live with numerous tolerations that inevitably build and accumulate, cluttering our minds and overwhelming us.

When experiencing the trauma of divorce and separation, it’s important to keep as much clarity of mind as possible in the circumstances.

For this reason, and many others, I find it helpful to work with my clients on clearing out some of their most troublesome Tolerations.

The act of enumerating these items coupled with my “Take-Action Plan” can help to free up some of the mental and emotional space required to successfully walk through the process of separation and divorce.

If you think you might benefit from my help, then it may be time to prioritize your wellbeing. Let’s set up a time to chat.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the divorce process? Are you being pulled in every direction?

Would you like to feel a better sense of balance during this time of transition?

When I work with separating spouses, I help them set goals to achieve a greater sense of control, calm & clarity in their lives. Because when we feel more balanced in the various aspects of our lives, we’re better equipped to handle the stress and challenges we’re facing.

Would you benefit from my help and support bringing better balance back into your life? If so, let’s set up a time to chat.

When faced with adversity, how will you choose to respond?

Will you allow the circumstances to dictate the way that you feel? Will you allow someone else to control the ways in which you behave? Or will you make an effort to improve the situation by shifting your perspective?

You alone have the power to change your mindset no matter what challenge you’re facing.

Remember that when we’re able to improve our attitude, it is never about anyone else. Allowing ourselves to experience peace of mind, serenity and joy - even as we weather the storm - is a blessing we bestow upon ourselves.

Learning to modify our experience of a painful divorce is the very essence of Divorcing Well. And this is my wish for you.

Whenever you find yourself lost in worry, try this exercise that I use in my Divorce Coaching practice:

Ask yourself: Do I need to learn to change anything based on this worry?

If the answer is YES, then try to identify and take one small step toward that change.

If the answer is no, then scan the room for an object or person that gives you the strongest sense of pleasure and focus your thoughts on this for at least thirty seconds.

For more information on taking small steps and the Kaizen Way, I highly recommend the book, “One Small Step Can Change Your Life”, by Dr. Robert Maurer.

In my practice as a divorce lawyer and now in my work as a Divorce Coach, I see many harmful mindsets that may negatively impact the timely, cost-efficient & successful resolution of family law disputes.

An important aspect of my work with clients is to address these mindsets and to find the pathways to change perspectives in the interest of saving your energy, time & resources for what matters most.

If you feel stuck and would like some help to change your mindset, I’d love to help equip you with the tools you need for a faster, better and less conflict-driven resolution to your separation or divorce.
