THE OBJECTIVE:
“Human communities depend upon a diversity of talent, not a single conception of ability."

Toronto as a fitness industry is a baby and we are the parents and guardians. Whether we practice it, fulfill it, or ignore it, we hold a role of responsibility. Due to its youthful

state and beautiful potential, I believe Toronto needs to be nurtured to its fullest potential, not as an industry, but as a COMMUNITY. THE EVENT:
A hybrid fitness event experience that fuses movement with nutrition and education. The goal of the event is for experts to come together for one day as a team of "2.0". No egos, just humans teaching humans, evolving Toronto fitness into a collaborative, interconnected community. THE CHARITY:

THE PERFORMANCE PARADOX: Mind vs. Muscle 🧠⚡
What if your biggest barrier isn’t your physical stamina... but the questions you ask yourself when you hit the wall?

We recently hosted an incredible panel of experts to unpack a massive theme: how to optimize high-level mental performance without destroying your mental health. In fitness and life, we are conditioned to constantly crush our limits. But sustainable growth requires the law of opposites—balancing intense output with deep, active recovery.

Swipe through these 4 powerful breakthroughs from our mastermind panel:

THE BREAKDOWN
1. THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF BURNOUT ( ) 🛑

Andrew outlines Bekin’s Healthspan Circle event series for 2026. We kicked off the series with Neuro 🧠 two weeks ago, next up is the🫀! Stay tuned.

2. PSYCHOLOGY IS PHYSIOLOGY ( ) 🧬

The mind-body connection is literal neuroscience. When your mind feels restricted, your biology locks up. True mental prehab bulletproofs your physical performance.

3. PROACTIVE HIGH-PERFORMANCE (.w ) 🚀

Elite founders don’t wait for a breakdown to seek a breakthrough. They orchestrate a proactive, metrics-driven approach to health—tuning the engine before the race begins.

4. BETTER QUESTIONS > QUICK ANSWERS (.ca )❓

We are obsessed with quick-fix answers and checklists. But real self-actualization begins when you cultivate better questions. Answers stop the momentum... a great question invites a lifelong inner journey.

THE REFLECTION 🫵
When you look at your current pace of life, are you rushing toward immediate answers, or are you holding space to ask yourself the tough, honest questions? Let me know in the comments below! 👇

We can build the best tools in the world, but true innovation doesn’t happen in a silo. 🧬🤝

Hearing words like this reminds us why community is everything for founders, practitioners, and operators in the longevity, health, and performance space. In an industry moving at lightspeed with new AI and technology, what leaders actually need more of is deep, collaborative connection. We need spaces to share vetted insights, ground our tech in ethical practice, and support the human element behind the algorithms.

Swipe to hear testimonials from local Toronto builders and see what happens when brilliant minds in health and human performance come together. 👉✨

BEHIND EVERY STRONG CITY is a strong network of people willing to build it. 🧱🥳 🤝

At Neuro, we brought together founders, small business owners, and entrepreneurs because they are often the ones closest to the community. They take the risks, create the spaces, generate ideas, employ local talent, and help shape culture from the ground up. They do not just build companies. They build ecosystems.

Bekin believes the future of health, longevity, and mental wellbeing will not be shaped by scale alone. It will be shaped by care, trust, relationships, and the courage of values-driven builders creating meaningful work at a human level.

This is part of why curation matters so much to us. We are not just filling a room. We are cultivating a movement. One that galvanizes community, empowers small businesses, and creates more balance in a world that too often leans toward big, extractive systems.

Neuro is our way of backing the people who are building with intention.
For peakspan. For healthspan. For stronger minds. For a healthier city.

And in that spirit, this gathering also helped raise funds and awareness for mental health.

A huge thank you to our partners, volunteers, guests, and team members 🙏🙌🫶

MEET THE MINDS BEHIND NEURO - Part 1 🧠
🧠 🧠 🧠
Neuro is a different kind of room.
It’s a curated gathering for founders, operators, investors, and high-performing leaders who care about how they think, lead, recover, and build. A room designed not just for conversation, but for real cross-pollination. The kind that happens when exceptional people from different sectors rarely in the same orbit are brought together with intention.
🧠 🧠 🧠
Here’s who’s in the room with you:

🔬 Hyacinth Zia — Neuroscience Researcher Exploring how the brain adapts, ages, and performs at the molecular level — turning complex science into clarity.

🫁 Andrew Daye () — Breathwork Practitioner & Performance Coach Teaching you how to regulate your nervous system and access your sharpest thinking — on demand, in real time.

🧪 Dr. Christine Wong, PhD () — Neuroscientist & Co-Founder of FLOJO Bridging cutting-edge brain science and everyday performance — showing us what it really means to nourish the mind.

🥗 Brendan Coates, DSc () — Doctor of Science in Clinical Nutrition One of Canada’s most respected voices in human optimization — integrating gut health, functional medicine, and cognitive performance.

🏃 Julian Ho () — Founder of Bekin Health 20+ year performance coach, kinesiologist, and ultramarathoner. Building systems that help people thrive — not just survive.

🌿 Louise Upperton — Head of Partnerships, Programming & Content at Supernatural Bridging the world of functional wellness and community — bringing intentional programming to life at one of Canada’s most forward-thinking health brands.
🧠 🧠 🧠
At Bekin, we create the conditions for meaningful group work, sharper thinking, and the kind of introductions that can lead to your next collaborator, client, investor, business partner, or co-creator.
This is an approval-based event. If you feel called to be in the room, you’re welcome to request your spot at the link in our bio.

RETHINKING MENTAL PERFORMANCE & LONGEVITY
🧠 🧠 🧠
Most of us track our steps, workouts, and sleep. But when it comes to mental energy, we often push through brain fog or rely on quick fixes.
🧠 🧠 🧠
Neuro is an invitation to give our minds and brains the same level of attention as we give our bodies with an emphasis on practical, evidence-backed ways to improve focus, energy, and long-term health.
🧠 🧠 🧠
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are bringing together a small, curated group of Toronto founders, operators, wellness professionals, and health optimizers who take their mental health and performance seriously. Join us for an intentional afternoon of connection, conversation, and learning, all in support of Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
🧠 🧠 🧠
Register for the event on Saturday, May 9, 145-5pm at the link 🔗 in our bio.

WHAT A PHENOMENAL CLOSER TO OUR INAUGURAL PROGRAM!
In our final session of “Running 3.0”, our preseason program for run optimization, we had the pleasure of hosting one of our founding Practitioners, Breathwork Expert to guide us through respiratory system training tactics not just for run performance but for mental performance.
It was such a great way to celebrate our cohort’s graduating class because it further exposed them to the holistic approach to longevity and performance.
We are preparing to launch our Spring Curriculum so be on the lookout 👀 for our lineup that includes our heavy hitters:a.fitnessculture and to lead a Strength Program, our founder .ca to lead another innovative Run Program, and Andrew to lead a very special event.

How Breathwork Transforms Your Running Performance 😤

With Breathwork Specialist
We discuss how breath awareness and breath control can be game-changers for runners. We explore how consciously engaging your diaphragm during stressed states directly impacts oxygen delivery to your muscles and legs, revealing that leg power is fundamentally connected to diaphragm strength and breathing control. Losing breath awareness means losing running performance.

A PEEK 👀 INTO OUR RUNNING PROGRAM 💫
In this immersive Running 3.0 session, we focused on core control and joint health for runners with ultramarathon champion .ca and co-lead guiding the room.

We kicked things off with a focused movement clinic designed to help runners build stability, move with intention, and understand the mechanics behind efficient running.

💡 Takeaway — Core Control Shapes Your Stride!
A well-organized core improves balance, posture, and power transfer—leading to smoother, more resilient running.

💡 Takeaway — Joint Health = Injury Prevention + Longevity!
Healthy joints support better load management, reduce compensation patterns, and help runners maintain higher training volume safely.

After the workout, our members received hands-on Acupressure massage — supporting recovery, reducing tension, and improving the embodiment of the movement principles from the session.

We wrapped up with a nourishing TCM-based recovery meal, where everyone shared personal stories, reflections, and the “why” behind their running journey.
A powerful reminder that community is just as important as training. 🫶
