It’s Canadian Men’s Health Month, and this is your reminder to check in on the men in your life.

Many men quietly live with symptoms like bladder leaks, pelvic pain, urgency, discomfort, or core dysfunction without realizing that support is available.

Too often, these concerns are dismissed, ignored, or simply accepted as part of getting older.

The truth is, pelvic health matters for men too.

This month, encourage the fathers, husbands, partners, brothers, sons, and friends in your life to prioritize their health and seek the support they deserve.

Pelvic physiotherapy appointments are available at our Toronto and Ottawa clinics. Reach out to learn more or book an appointment ✨

It’s official: PCOS has been renamed to PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome). 🚨 And it’s about time.
For years, the term "Polycystic O***y Syndrome" has misled patients and doctors alike, focusing solely on the ovaries and ignoring the complex hormonal and metabolic realities of the condition. This has led to delayed diagnoses, fragmented care, and unnecessary stigma for the 1 in 8 women affected.
Following a massive global consensus process published in The Lancet, involving over 14,000 patients and 56 leading organizations, the medical community has officially adopted a name that reflects the true multisystem nature of the condition: PMOS.
Swipe through to learn what PMOS means, why this change is so validating, and how it will improve care moving forward. 👉
At Bravella Health, Femade - A Bravella Health Company - Ottawa , and Vital - A Bravella Health Company - Toronto, our multidisciplinary teams have always understood the complex nature of this condition. We’re here to support your whole-body health—hormonal, metabolic, and beyond.

These shifts are real and often linked to changing hormone levels even if no one warned you about them.

Stress builds quietly in your body, your thoughts, and your daily routine.

The good news? You don’t need a complete reset to feel better. Small, consistent habits can make a real difference:

✨ Move your body even a short walk can help release tension
✨ Prioritize sleep as your body regulates stress when it’s well rested
✨ Take intentional breaks by stepping away, breathing, and resetting
✨ Create moments of calm through reading, journaling, or quiet time

It’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about supporting your nervous system in simple ways, every day.

✨ Start small. Stay consistent. Your body will thank you.

Noticing changes in your body but not sure what’s going on? It could be perimenopause.

As estrogen levels begin to shift, your body starts adjusting and that can look different for everyone. For some, it’s subtle. For others, the symptoms are more noticeable.

Common signs of perimenopause include irregular or changing periods, mood shifts like anxiety or irritability, low libido, hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, urinary urgency, and sleep disruptions.

You may also feel more anxious than usual, with constant worry, tension, or difficulty sleeping.

These symptoms are real and they’re not “just in your head.” But because they can overlap with other conditions, it’s important to speak with a healthcare provider to understand what’s happening in your body.

If you’re experiencing these changes, you don’t have to navigate them alone. Book an appointment with the Bravella team for personalized support.
