If you scan this QR code, you’re not just making a donation — you’re giving someone living with cancer a little more hope, a little more time, and a chance at a brighter future.

This August, I’m swimming 10 km to raise money for cancer research. I’m doing it for the people I love who are living with cancer, and for the people you love too. None of us go untouched by this disease.

Your support — in any amount — truly matters.

I hope to raise $10,000.

Even 1 cent per meter makes a difference:

— $10 covers an entire 1,000 meter training session.

— $50 covers 5,000-meter training session

— and completing the full 10 km would come to $100, if that’s within your budget.

Your generosity fuels research, strengthens families, and reminds people facing cancer that they’re not alone.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping carry hope forward.

You can make your donation by clicking the link in the comments

Thank you!

At 32, with a 10 month old baby at home, I learned to swim lanes. I wasn’t fast, but I was determined — 1,000 meters a week, finding strength and therapy in the water. Life is better on the water became my motto.
This August, I’m swimming 10 km to raise money for cancer research. I’m doing it for the many people in my life living with cancer — and for the many in yours.

If you’re able, I’d be grateful for your support.

I aim to raise $10,000.

Even 1 cent per meter makes a difference:
— $10 covers an entire 1,000 meter training session.
— $50 covers 5,000-meter training session
— and completing the full 10 km would come to $100, if that’s within your budget.

Your BIG DONATION will have a BIG IMPACT to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s Swim for Cancer.

You can make your donation on the link in the bio.

Thank you.

If I swim 10km to raise money for cancer research will you help me by making a donation?

How would you like to be supported at work during menopause?

We know menopause is not just a personal journey. Menopause-related symptoms may affect you at work as well.

Yet, for many, talking about menopause at work can feel uncomfortable, awkward, or even impossible. Too often, this silence leaves women struggling alone with symptoms that can deeply affect their wellbeing and productivity. And even their ability to work….

It shouldn’t be this way — and together, we can change it.

As a menopause educator and advocate, I’ve seen firsthand how the right support can transform not only daily life but also job satisfaction and retention.

Your insights are vital to shaping workplace training that is more compassionate, informed, and practical—and ultimately, more supportive.

I’d love to gather your thoughts on what practical steps managers can take to improve their employees’ well-being and performance.

In your opinion and personal experience with menopause at work:

✨ What practical support would make a real difference?
✨ How would you like your manager or employer to approach conversations about menopause?
✨ What tone, language, and type of interaction would make you feel respected, understood, and empowered rather than embarrassed or singled out?

It’s the silence, not just the symptoms, that makes working through the menopause transition hard for so many women.

👉 You can also help by:

✅ DM and telling me—in your own words—what supportive conversations and actions look like for you.

Let’s make sure no-one navigates menopause at work without the understanding and support they deserve. 💙

Am I losing my mind?
Many women ask me this question when they feel “off”, not quite themselves. They know something has changed but can’t identify what, and their doctors often dismiss their concerns with “there’s nothing wrong with you”.

If this sounds familiar, The Menopause Brain book by Dr. Lisa Mosconi, the best 2024 book about menopause in my opinion, can be helpful.

This book busts myths about menopause, bridging the gap between what’s happening to your body and the information and support you deserve.

It’s important to be aware of what’s going on in your body and mind, physiologically speaking.

Dr. Mosconi explains the menopause transition in clear, relatable language, and offers actionable advice.

This book is a valuable resource to share with your partner, family, friends, and even colleagues, so they can better understand your experience.

Read the highlights of The Menopause Brain by Dr. Lisa Mosconi in my latest blog. See how you can read it 👇🏻

This holiday season give The Menopause Brain book by Dr. Lisa Mosconi to yourself or someone you love. Spread awareness to friends, co-workers, or even your HR team and your CEO—because better education means better support for all.

Why It Matters

Menopause isn’t just a women’s issue—it affects everyone in your circle. Educating yourself and others fosters understanding and support during this transformative phase of life.

Menopause is inevitable but suffering is not.

You deserve to understand what’s happening to your body and mind and to find relief. If this book has raised questions about your own menopause transition, let’s connect 👇🏻

Barely used.

I learned to cross-country ski in my 50s. For several reasons, to be outdoors even when it was cold, to improve my balance, for a cardio workout, to ski in places I’ve never been before.

This equipment helped fulfill all those expectations and I hope this great sale awakens in you the willingness to try out, or continue, to XC-ski.

It is in VERY good condition and I’m selling it because with my recent osteoporosis diagnosis I prefer snowshoeing instead of XC skiing.

I celebrated my birthday this week. I was born in 1962 and turned 62 this year.

My birthday gift to you is some tips for navigating menopause that have helped me along the way.

Like you—probably, since you’re reading this—I experienced hot flashes and night sweats (vasomotor symptoms), fatigue, weight gain, very itchy skin, anger, irritability, extreme mood swings, headaches, and vaginal dryness and painful

Since my risk of breast cancer was higher than average, I decided not to take Menopause Hormone Therapy (MHT) and opted instead for improving my symptoms through lifestyle modifications.

By the way, if you’d like to know your risk for breast cancer and whether you are a good candidate for MHT or not, let’s talk - DM for more info.

THIS is very personal to me since one of my closest friends was diagnosed with colon cancer in her 40s. She advocated for her health and for a colonoscopy and probably saved her own life while told she had hemorrhoids.

Rapper, actor, and activist Bishop Brigante is 45-year-old and is battling Stage 4 colon cancer, which he says was caught too late. That's because for two years of SHOWING SYMPTOMS no one tested him for colon cancer. "You're too young to have colon cancer"... Wrong.

Bishop wants Canadians to have easier access to colonoscopies and says advocacy has given him newfound purpose.

Please sign this petition and let's ensure Canadians with colon cancer can live longer and better.
