This week on the podcast, I’ve got a story that is 1.5 years in the making.

On November 24th, 2025, at the Holly Jolly Fun Run in Toronto, I ran 5 kilometres (or for my American friends, 3.1 miles) in under 20 minutes.. 19:55 to be exact.

It was a goal I set for myself over a year and a half before I reached it, and truthfully, the process did not go exactly as expected!

And because I learned so much through the journey, I wanted to share a full recap of the training, nutrition, recovery, and mindset lessons gained along the way!

This episode is an honest look at what it took to chase that goal.
Not the filtered version you often see on social media…

But the real, messy, rewarding process of trying to achieve something genuinely hard.
