Postpartum yoga might be one of the gentlest ways to start feeling like yourself again after having a baby.

Those early weeks and months can be beautiful, exhausting, overwhelming, and surprisingly isolating, sometimes all before breakfast. Finding time to care for yourself can feel impossible, which is exactly why we love our parent and baby yoga classes so much.

These classes are not about pushing your body or getting back to anything. They are about reconnecting with your body, moving in a way that feels good, easing common postpartum aches and pains, taking a deep breath, and spending time with other parents who are navigating the same season of life.

And yes, your baby comes too.

Whether you are looking for safe postpartum exercise, a way to ease tension in your back, neck, and shoulders, or simply hoping to meet other local parents and build your village, our postpartum yoga classes in Toronto and Newmarket are designed with you in mind.

Come as you are. Feed the baby. Take breaks. Laugh. Stretch. Connect.

Because sometimes the movement is wonderful, but the community is what you needed most.

Some clinicians make you feel better before the appointment even starts.

That is Arzoo.

We are so happy to welcome Arzoo Patel back from maternity leave and back to the Oona Toronto team.

With more than 10 years of physiotherapy experience, Arzoo helps clients through every stage of the journey, from pregnancy preparation and pelvic floor rehabilitation to postpartum recovery, pediatric physiotherapy, orthopedic injuries, and returning to the activities you love.

What makes Arzoo special is not just her expertise. It is the way she listens. Her patients often tell us they feel understood, educated, and supported from the very first visit.

If you have been putting off that pelvic floor assessment, wondering if what you are experiencing is normal, recovering from birth, or dealing with an injury that is not improving on its own, this is your sign to book.

Arzoo is now seeing patients at our Toronto clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Happy Pride from all of us at Oona 🏳️‍🌈

Pregnancy, birth, and early parenting do not look the same for everyone. And they are not meant to.

Some people are growing their families through surrogacy, some through adoption, some with partners, some without. Some are navigating fertility journeys that feel private and heavy. Some are q***r parents building families in ways that were never “standard,” but are deeply real, deeply loving, and deeply intentional.

At Oona, we care for perinatal health in all its forms. That means holding space for every body, every identity, every family structure, and every way someone becomes a parent.

Care should never depend on how you fit into a stereotype. It should meet you exactly where you are.

This Pride, we are celebrating the LGBTQ2S+ parents, the soon to be parents, the hopeful parents, and the ones still figuring out what family looks like for them. You are not an exception to care. You are part of it.

And if you are on a perinatal journey right now, you deserve to feel seen, supported, and respected through every step of it.

Happy Pride.

Endometriosis doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant, but it can change how your body gets there.

We often see endometriosis create more inflammation in the pelvis, which can affect ovulation, egg quality, fertilization, implantation, and even how s***m function. It’s not one thing, it’s the environment as a whole.

This is why fertility care with endometriosis isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’re looking at inflammation, metabolic health, ovulation, and how to support implantation in a way that actually fits your body.

A positive pregnancy test matters, of course, but so does supporting a healthy pregnancy and a live birth.

If endometriosis is part of your story, you’re not out of options. It just means we take a more thoughtful, individualized approach. Book with Dr. Alexsia to get started. Link is in our bio.

You had the baby… so why does your body feel worse?

No one really prepares you for this part.

Your body just went through pregnancy, labour or a C-section, and everything shifted. Your muscles tightened, your hips and lower back took on more than they should, and now you’re feeding, holding, and living in positions your body isn’t used to.

Of course it feels off.

That lingering discomfort in your back and hips isn’t something you just have to push through. It’s your body asking for support after doing something phenomenal.

At Oona, we take postpartum recovery seriously. We look at how your body is moving, where the tension is coming from, and what actually needs to be treated, whether that’s pelvic physio, chiropractic, or hands-on care that helps you feel like yourself again.

You deserve to feel strong, supported, and comfortable in your body, not just get by.

Will acupuncture make labor start immediately? Not exactly, and honestly, that’s not the goal.

The research shows acupuncture is less about forcing labor and more about helping your body prepare for it naturally. Around 36 weeks, it can become an incredible tool for supporting better sleep, easing back pain, calming stress, and helping your body settle before birth.

Because going into labor exhausted, tense, and overwhelmed is not exactly the vibe.

At Oona, we look at the full picture of pregnancy care, not just one symptom at a time. Sometimes the most powerful preparation is helping your body finally exhale.

Book with Dr. Erica Nikiforuk, Naturopathic Doctor & Registered Acupuncturist, and start supporting your body before labor begins.

From pregnancy through postpartum, your body is constantly adjusting in ways most people never fully talk about, and it often shows up as tightness, fatigue, heaviness, or just a sense that things feel different than they used to.

Perinatal massage is a way to support your body through every stage of that experience, helping to ease tension, improve circulation, and create space for rest that actually feels restorative rather than effortful. This is about giving your body the support it needs while it does an extraordinary amount of work.

You can book your perinatal massage with an RMT at Oona Cares for care that meets you where you are, whether you are early in pregnancy, further along, or navigating postpartum recovery.
