Brain fog, anxiety, and mood swings in your late 30s and 40s can feel scary, especially when no one connects them to hormone changes.

Perimenopause is a common time for new mood symptoms and “my brain just isn’t working like it used to”, and it’s not all in your head.

With the right support for sleep, movement, nutrition, stress, and hormones, many women can feel noticeably better. If something feels off and you’re not sure where to start, book a free discovery call through the link in my bio and we can map out your next steps together.

Building and keeping muscle and bone in perimenopause isn’t just about strength in the gym, it’s about strength for your future self.

Resistance training gives your body the “louder signal” it needs as estrogen declines, especially when it’s progressive, challenging, and consistent.

If you’re not sure where to start, or how to support your body alongside training, book a discovery call through the link in my bio.

Most women are told perimenopause is a slow decline in estrogen. It’s not. It’s a period of hormonal variability: progesterone becomes less consistent first, and estrogen fluctuates before it eventually settles. That unpredictability is a major driver of the symptoms many women notice.

The good news? When you understand what’s actually happening, it becomes much easier to support your body through it. Swipe through for the basics. If your interested in personalized support, you can book a free discovery call through the link in my bio.

Skin healing isn’t just about what you put on your skin. It’s about what you give your body to work with.

Collagen, elastin, and keratin are all proteins. Your immune system, antioxidant defenses, and skin barrier all rely on amino acids from dietary protein. When intake is consistently low, the body has to prioritize and skin repair often gets deprioritized in favour of more critical functions.

Sometimes the missing piece isn’t another supplement or topical, it’s adequate fuel.

A few things to consider:

🔹 Most adults need more protein than they think (especially during healing)
🔹 Variety matters - different proteins offer different amino acid profiles
🔹 Spacing protein across meals supports better utilization
🔹 Plant-based eaters can absolutely meet needs with intentional planning

If your skin feels like it’s not responding to the usual interventions, it may be worth taking a closer look at your nutritional foundation.

I’m a naturopathic doctor who talks about hydration with almost all my patients but honestly, it’s an area I really struggle with too. So I started making overnight herbal infusions to sip on throughout the day, and I thought I’d share the blends I’ve been making!

First up: a skin glow blend.
• 2 tbsp nettle
• 1 tbsp rose petals
• 1 tbsp hibiscus
• a bit of calendula

32 oz mason jar, filtered water, steep overnight, strain in the morning, and sip throughout the day.

A reminder to always consult with your healthcare provider before adding new herbs.

Save this one and tell me what kind of blend you want to see next. 🌿

If you’ve been doing everything “right” with your skincare and still aren’t seeing change, this is for you.

Your skin is your body’s largest organ. It protects you from the outside world, helps regulate temperature, detects touch and pain, and supports immune function.

So when skin is flaring, it’s often more than local issue. Acne, eczema, rosacea, dryness, and hives can reflect the what’s happening internally.

Common internal drivers are stress, gut health, hormones, inflammation, and nutrient status.

Topical care can help. But chronic skin concerns often have internal drivers and treatment needs to match.

If your skin has plateaued and you’re wondering what else might be going on, send me a DM or book a discovery call (link in bio).
