Facts about Narcissistic Abuse 💔

Narcissistic abuse can happen in many types of relationships — including a parent, partner, boss, friend, or other authority figure.

It is often subtle, chronic, and emotionally confusing. It may include:
• Gaslighting that makes you doubt your reality
• Cycles of idealization, devaluation, and discard
• Emotional invalidation, control, or manipulation
• Feeling “not enough” no matter what you do
• Walking on eggshells to avoid conflict

Over time, this can deeply impact self-esteem, nervous system regulation, and emotional safety.

Healing is possible 🌿
Approaches like Brainspotting can support trauma processing by helping the brain and body access and release stored emotional pain, especially when words aren’t enough.

You deserve clarity, safety, and reconnection to yourself 💛

PMDD rage 🤝 ADHD rage

One brings emotional intensity, overwhelm, irritability, and hormonal shifts.
The other brings impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, sensory overload, and burnout.

Mixed together?
It can feel like your nervous system is constantly on fire. 🔥

PMDD rage is often deep, sudden, emotional, and cyclical.
ADHD rage can feel fast, reactive, overstimulated, and impossible to shut off. 🧠

When they collide, even small things can feel unbearable:
• noise
• interruptions
• rejection
• being touched out
• mental overload
• feeling misunderstood
• masking exhaustion

And afterward often comes the guilt, shame, and confusion of:
“Why did I react like that?” 💔

You are not “too much.”
Your brain and body may simply be fighting battles at the same time.

Support matters.
Regulation matters.
Rest matters.
Understanding the connection matters.

For many women, PMDD + ADHD isn’t just moodiness — it’s a very real nervous system storm. 💛

Starting HRT wasn’t something I expected would impact my digestive health… but after years of ongoing gastro issues, beginning progesterone has made a significant difference for me. 🤍

Several months in, my body finally feels like it’s functioning the way it should again. What I’ve learned through this experience is that perimenopause symptoms don’t always look the way we expect them to. Hormonal changes can affect so much more than mood or cycles — including gut health.

Research coming out of Europe is continuing to explore the connection between HRT and gastrointestinal symptoms during perimenopause, and I’m incredibly grateful to have connected with an OBGYN who specializes in PMDD and women’s health. Without that knowledge and support, I never would have known this was even something to consider.

Women deserve informed, specialized care — and to know they are not “just stressed” or imagining their symptoms. ☕✨

Perimenopause can feel like a mix of growth, exhaustion, healing, and “what was I saying again?” ☕🤍

Learning to give myself more grace, protect my peace, and honour what my mind and body need in this season. You are not alone in it. 🌿✨

Sometimes the behaviour we see is only the tip of the iceberg.
Behind the yelling, shutting down, or frustration is often a child who feels overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or misunderstood.
When we pause to understand the feeling underneath the behaviour, we create safety, connection, and trust. ❤️
Children do better when they feel seen, heard, and supported… not just corrected.

Connection first. Then guidance.

Sometimes the adult version of you is carrying pain that belongs to a younger version of you. 🧸🤍

The part of you that struggles with rejection, fears abandonment, shuts down during conflict, people pleases, or feels “too much” may not be weakness — it may be a younger part of you that learned how to survive without feeling fully safe, seen, or supported. 🌿

Inner child healing is not about blaming the past.
It’s about recognizing the unmet needs, wounds, and survival patterns that still live in the nervous system today. ✨

Healing can look like:
• Speaking to yourself with compassion instead of criticism 🤍
• Learning that rest is safe 🌙
• Setting boundaries without guilt 🌱
• Allowing emotions instead of suppressing them 💭
• Giving yourself the safety, validation, and care you may not have received growing up 🫶

You do not have to keep abandoning yourself to feel loved or accepted. 🌸
