The Langley Anchor Project is a community-based initiative designed to support youth and families before situations escalate into crisis. At its core, the Anchor is a place to land — a safe, judgment-free space where individuals can pause, connect, and access support in the moments that matter most. Rather than responding after crisis, the project focuses on early intervention, offering emotional

regulation tools, connection, and guidance when challenges first arise. Through its initial Youth Stability & Safety Program and future 24/7 support model, the Langley Anchor Project is working to bridge the gap between immediate need and long-term care — helping individuals build stability, strengthen relationships, and remain connected to their community. This is more than a program. It is a shift toward prevention, connection, and a new way of supporting one another.

Community isn't built by waiting for someone else to fix the problem.

Some youth in Langley are spending this summer wondering where their next meal will come from.

As school wraps up for the year, many of the quiet safety nets that local youth rely on—like school lunch and breakfast programs—shut down for the summer. For a child navigating instability, the loss of these programs turns what should be a season of freedom into a season of survival.

At LuckeLife Society, we believe that basic safety begins with a shared connection and a reliable meal.

This week, we are sharing how our community is coming together to build an "upstream" safety net for local youth and seniors. Follow along as we share how you can get involved.

We can’t solve youth homelessness in Langley this weekend. But we can make sure 20 kids don’t go to bed hungry.

During our research this week, we discovered a devastating gap: there are currently NO daily free meal programs specifically for youth on our streets in Langley. If a child is cold, alone, and unhoused under 19, they cannot reliably find breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

We talk about upstream prevention, but a starving child is locked in raw survival mode.

🫀 Thank You, Langley ; and LuckeLife Society Supporters🫀

This weekend, because of community support and donations, 15 individuals received a Vitality Meal Bag filled with food, hydration, and essential items.

Fifteen people.

Fifteen reminders that someone cares.

Fifteen moments of connection, dignity, and support.

While we know a meal bag is not a long-term solution, it can make a difference in someone's day. Sometimes the first step toward hope is knowing you have not been forgotten.

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, encouraged our work, or helped spread awareness:

Thank you.

This is what community looks like.

At LuckeLife Society, we believe prevention begins with connection, and stronger communities are built when people show up for one another.

Together, we are creating conversations, building awareness, and taking small steps toward a future where every youth deserves basic safety.

With gratitude,

🌿 LuckeLife Society

This week, I did a deep dive looking for consistent, daily free meal programs for youth in our area. The result left me heartbroken: There are none. Right now in 2026, a child sleeping on the streets of Langley cannot reliably find breakfast, lunch, or dinner every day.

We talk about upstream prevention, but a hungry child cannot focus on building a future; they are just trying to survive the night. We refuse to look the other way. This weekend, LuckeLife Society is launching our emergency Mobile Meal Kit Initiative.

For exactly $23, you can fully fund a "Vitality Meal Kit"—packed with nutrient-dense food, hydration, and emergency grocery cards—delivered directly to a youth in need.

Our goal this weekend is to fund 23 kits for the 23 children documented on our streets.

Can you fund one kit today for $23? Let’s make sure no child in Langley goes hungry this Sunday.
