Feeling anxious? That's normal when you have something to be anxious about. Anxiety may be caused by something as small as a class presentation or as big as a marriage proposal. However, when you're feeling anxious but have no reason to be, then that is when one must consider seeing a therapist. See the definition of anxiety by the American Psychological Association below.
Anxiety is characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts and physical changes. Anxiety disorders such as panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) cause recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns and physical symptoms such as sweating, trembling, dizziness or a rapid heartbeat.
