You can’t wish away mistakes or replay every moment believing you could have changed the outcome when you’ve lost someone to su***de. Grief often brings guilt, second-guessing, and endless “what ifs,” but loving someone does not mean you had the power to save them from every struggle they carried.

Healing begins when we stop punishing ourselves for being human. We can reflect, learn, and grieve deeply without carrying responsibility for a tragedy that was never ours alone to control.

Sometimes the hardest part of surviving su***de loss is accepting that hindsight creates an illusion of certainty. We look backward believing we should have known more, said more, or done more. But we were living those moments in real time, with limited understanding, doing the best we could with what we knew then.

Grief asks us to carry love forward, not endless blame. ❤️
