John Tortorella isn’t ready to walk away from coaching at 68 years old.

“Oh, I want to coach. I want to coach now.”

Tortorella admitted he was disappointed Vegas did not bring him back after he took over with eight games remaining, finished the regular season 7-0-1 and led the Golden Knights to the Stanley Cup Final.

“We didn’t finish the job, and I wanted some more time with that club to try to finish the job.”

Every NHL head-coaching position is currently filled, meaning Tortorella may have to wait for the first opening of the season.
