It is great to see long-term progress photos of patients. This young woman was unhappy with her profile, deviation, bulbous tip and she had nasal airway obstruction. She wanted a more refined and feminine nose. She had rhinoplasty to improve her profile creating smooth and symmetrical dorsal aesthetic (brow-tip contour) lines and a defined but natural-appearing tip. She is almost 10 years postop with an elegant and feminine nose that compliments her face enhancing her look. It is great to show her long term results to highlight the importance of great surgical planning and ex*****on.

4 month postop open rhinoplasty with septal reconstruction. This young woman had severe deviation of her nose and nasal airway obstruction. She is shown 4 months after open rhinoplasty with septal reconstruction. Her nose appears much straighter and she has a more elegant profile and tip refinement. She also had facial fat grafting to restore some lost facial fat to rejuvenate her face. There is still some swelling present especially at the tip and it will take about 1 year for swelling to resolve so that all of the changes can be fully appreciated.

I enjoyed attending the Breast and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium. I’ve helped to organize this meeting since 2011. It was fun to catch up with colleagues and spend time with all of our invited faculty. I presented on advances in rhinoplasty.

Recently, I was invited to Rome to the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Italian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. I lectured about ultrasound guided fat injection for buttock shaping. It was great to connect with colleagues from Europe. There were so many awe inspiring sights and the food was amazing! It was an unforgettable trip to a beautiful city. 🇮🇹

I had a great time discussing some plastic surgery hot topics with my dear friend .rohrich during filming with for several upcoming episodes of the RohrichKnose Podcast. We spoke about new techniques for breast augmentation, enhancing recovery after plastic surgery, and the impact of GLP-1 weight loss medications on body contouring plastic surgery. Stay tuned…

3 month postop open rhinoplasty with septal reconstruction. This young woman had a dorsal hump and an underrotated tip. She was previously treated with injectable fillers which made the nose appear larger and did not improve the tip shape. Prior to surgery, she had injection of hyaluronidase to remove residual hyaluronic acid filler so that the results from surgery would be more precise and predictable long-term. She is shown 3 months after open rhinoplasty with septal reconstruction. She already has a more elegant profile with a straight dorsum, supratip break, and tip refinement. Reduction of the prominent dorsal hump has improved the profile and also created enhanced balance and proportion. Previous injectable filler treatment had created a nose that was too large for her face. It will take about 1 year for swelling to resolve so that all of the changes can be fully appreciated.

I spent a few days in Los Angeles USC Plastic Surgery as a visiting professor. It was great to spend time with the residents and faculty lecturing about rhinoplasty, breast reduction, abdominoplasty and patient safety in plastic surgery. Always fun to spend time with so many dear friends and I’m grateful for all the arrangements Luis H. Macias, MD, FACS made so we could watch the Toronto Maple Leafs against LA Kings NHL I also attended my first Seder with 𝐁𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐢, 𝐌𝐃 Facial plastic Surgeon and we had a fun few days together including a trip to Malibu! Such a memorable trip.

6 month postop upper blepharoplasty and ptosis repair. Patients who present for eyelid rejuvenation surgery can have droopy eyelids-a condition called ptosis. There are several causes of ptosis but most commonly it is weakening of the levator muscle and/or ligament in patients requesting blepharoplasty. Ptosis can be repaired at the same time as upper blepharoplasty. This patient had droopy eyelids and upper eyelid skin excess. She had upper blepharoplasty with levator ptosis repair and periorbital fat grafting and is shown 6 months postop with more refreshed, open and brighter appearing eyes and symmetry of her upper eyelid height and eyes. Note in the second set of photos that she has to engage her forehead muscles and raise her eyebrows to open her eyes widely while after surgery, her forehead remains relaxed while the levator muscle engages to open her eyes widely.
