HosPall was proud to be a part of a wonderful event, yesterday as our community celebrated a new Long-Term Care Home and future seniors village coming to the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital campus, built by Schlegel Villages.
Since 2014, we've believed great care shouldn't be limited by setting: home, retirement residence, long-term care, hospice, or hospital. This new campus brings that whole continuum of care together, close to home:
🏡 2028 — A new long-term care home opening with 322 beds (originally planned for 161 — the province listened and nearly doubled it!)
🌳 2030 — A full seniors village with independent living, assisted living, and total care, just like Schlegel Villages' beloved community in Kitchener.
🎓 On-site learning too: Seneca College will train PSWs, RPNs, and RNs, and student doctors from York University's new medical school will gain hands-on experience caring for seniors , the first program of its kind in the country.
This is exactly the kind of care we champion every day: built on dignity, compassion, and quality of life. Because at HosPall, we believe life is a gift, and every person deserves to live it with comfort and dignity at every stage. 💙
Thank you to all the partners and advocates making this possible for the families of Vaughan and York Region: Schlegel Villages, , Anna Roberts MP , , Mackenzie Health, Seneca Polytechnic, York University, and the City of Vaughan.
