The smallest item on our table yesterday had the biggest impact. 💙

Throughout the Community Stroke Conference, visitors stopped to pick up one of our little gold bags.

Inside wasn't a brochure or a sales pitch.

Just a tea bag, hand cream, eye mask gels and a simple message:

*"Whatever brought you here today — to care, to heal, to learn, or to recover — this one's yours. Steep, breathe, and take five minutes."*

We created these small comfort bags because we know that stroke doesn't affect just one person. It touches spouses, adult children, friends, caregivers, and care teams too.

Everyone at the conference was carrying something. Questions. Worries. Hope. Responsibility. Recovery.

Sometimes the most meaningful support isn't complicated. Sometimes it's simply permission to pause.

To everyone who took a moment to stop by our booth today: we hope you enjoy your tea, take those five minutes, and remember that caring for yourself matters too. ❤️

What a wonderful day at the Community Stroke Conference 2026. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to Mackenzie Health for bringing together stroke survivors, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations from across York Region at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.

Our team had the opportunity to connect with attendees, share information about stroke recovery and prevention, and talk about the realities of supporting recovery at home. We also had plenty of fun testing everyone's "Stroke Smarts" at our prize wheel. Did you know that an untreated stroke can destroy approximately 1.9 million neurons every minute?

One of our favourite parts of the day was sharing our "A Moment for You" care packages. Whether you're a survivor, caregiver, family member, or healthcare professional, taking a few moments to care for yourself matters too.

We are honoured to stand alongside York Region's stroke survivors, families, caregivers, and care teams as they navigate recovery and build brighter futures.

This was truly an amazing event! We had so many people come by and chat with us about aging in place, staying healthy and the changing demographics in York Region. Most people were surprised to learn that there are currently more seniors than children living in York Region! Fantastic to see families we have worked with over the years, caregivers and other partners. The weather was perfect, and the event was a fantastic success! Congratulations to the Town of Aurora and Aurora Chamber of Commerce for a truly spectacular event!

What a day on Yonge Street! The HosPall team had the best time at the Aurora Street Festival under all that sunshine, surrounded by thousands of neighbours out enjoying the day.

Our Spin to Win wheel was a hit, with folks testing their knowledge on dementia and brain health and walking away with a few prizes (and yes, a lot of bubbles got blown). It was the perfect way to mark Seniors Month and our “Let’s Get Moving” theme. Getting out, staying active, and connecting with the community we care for right here in York Region.

A big thank you to the Chamber of Commerce for organizing such a wonderful day and for bringing the whole community together year after year. Thank you also to everyone who stopped by to say hello and spin the wheel. It means the world to us. What a great day at the Oak Valley Health Seniors Health and Wellness Fair at Markham Stouffville Hospital! 🌿

It was so good to be in a room full of people who genuinely care about our seniors. A big shout out to Debra and her team at Age Friendly for bringing it all together, and it was wonderful to see so many Age Friendly members come out.

We were also thrilled to connect with Daniel, owner of Elderado, and to celebrate becoming an Executive Verified partner on elderado.ca. We are proud to stand behind that badge.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with our CEO and owner Michelle Frauley and our Senior Nurse Manager Erwin de Lemos. These conversations are the best part of days like this. And congratulations to Terry, an RN from PACU, who won our HosPall gift basket!

It was also great to see the team from Mackenzie Health, and we are already looking forward to seeing them again next week at the Mackenzie Heart and Stroke Conference on June 10th.

A beautiful day on the course for an important cause. ⛳💜

The HosPall team was proud to participate in and sponsor the Hope House Hospice charity golf tournament in support of compassionate hospice care in our community.

Michelle and Bruce had a wonderful time connecting with community partners while helping raise funds that support individuals and families navigating serious illness, end-of-life care and grief support.
