We are Cherice and Tamara — two best friends, both mothers, and the two humans behind Aroah Compassionate Care Collective.

We didn’t come to this work through a business plan. We came through love. Through sitting beside the people we cherished most during illness, decline, and loss.

What we discovered is that what people need most is not just another task completed. It is a calm, loving, unhurried presence that says — I am here. You matter. You are not alone.

We are the thread between a senior and their family — keeping everyone connected and never alone in the in-between.

That is Aroah. And we would love to show up for you.

Every relationship at Aroah begins the same way — with a real human conversation. No pressure. No commitment. Just us, getting to know each other.
Here is what that looks like.

Step One — The Welcome
A warm, unhurried phone or in-person conversation. We want to know who you are, what your days feel like, what you or your family hope for, and how Aroah might fit into that picture.
Always complimentary. Always made from love.

Step Two — Finding Your Rhythm
We come to you. In your home or your senior living community — unhurried, warm, and genuinely curious. This is not an assessment. It is presence and connection. Together we discover what feels most natural and most nourishing.
This is where everything begins.

Step Three — Welcome to the Family
You are officially part of the Aroah family. Simple paperwork, your preferences, and payment — taken care of gently and clearly so nothing stands between you and your care.
Care begins. Welcome home.

Step Four — Ongoing Support
Once a month you receive a personal call from Cherice or Tamara. Not automated. Not a survey. A real conversation. How is your person doing? What would you like more of, less of, or something different?
The relationship does not end between visits. It just keeps growing.

This found you for a reason.
We are Tamara and Cherice — best friends since grade six, both mothers, and the two humans behind Aroah Compassionate Care Collective.
We did not come to this work through a business plan. We came through life — through the seasons of sitting beside people we love through illness, caregiving, grief, and the sacred passages of end of life. Those experiences cracked us open. And Aroah was born from what we found inside.

Tamara 🤍
Tamara spent fifteen years as the owner, director, and lead instructor of Danceworx Dance Studio — building community, teaching movement, and creating spaces where people felt alive. She holds a Life Coach Diploma from Rhodes Wellness College and a 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training. She is deeply called to grief work and end of life presence — a knowing she describes as less learned and more lived. She brings warmth, depth, and a fierce belief that how we show up for each other is everything.

Cherice 🤍
Cherice spent over thirteen years in leadership and management — known for being calm under pressure, deeply approachable, and committed to creating environments where people feel respected and safe. She is a certified Grief Coach and a 200 hour Yoga Teacher. She came to companion care after walking alongside loved ones through illness and loss — and found her calling in the quiet, steady work of being genuinely present for people in vulnerable seasons of life. She brings groundedness, warmth, integrity, and a presence that makes people feel immediately at ease.

Together we are the Love Squad — two humans who believe that genuine connection is the most powerful thing one person can offer another.
We show up with open hands, calm presence, and a deep commitment to making sure no one walks the hard parts of life alone.

What We Do 🤍
At Aroah we care for the whole person — body, mind, heart, and spirit. Because no one is just a body that needs tending.
Body 🤍
We tend to the everyday — light cleaning, meal preparation, errands, and appointments. And we awaken the physical body too. Gentle movement, walks in nature, stretching, and the healing power of human touch. We work with the senses — aromatherapy, soft music, sound — to calm the nervous system and bring ease into the body. We offer simple, practical tools our clients can carry into their everyday lives. Because how the body feels changes everything.
Mind 🤍
We bring deep presence and deep listening. We ask the questions that open people up and we remember what was shared. We offer meditation and gentle practices that encourage the mind to soften and settle — tools to quiet the noise, tune back into the body, and find more peace in the present moment.
Heart 🤍
We witness. We sit with whatever is present — joy, grief, loneliness, love — without rushing it or fixing it. We simply stay. We offer legacy conversations — space to reflect, to tell stories, to have a lifetime of wisdom truly heard. Families receive a warm personal update after every visit. Not a report. A real human note that says: here is how your person truly is today.

We bring aliveness. No matter the age or stage of life — we believe the spirit is always capable of more joy, more wonder, more love, and less fear. We create experiences that awaken the senses and open the heart. We help our clients see possibilities. We walk beside them as their spirit becomes more whole, more at peace, and more fully themselves.

At Aroah Compassionate Care Collective we offer senior care that honours the whole person — body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Many care services focus primarily on physical tasks. We believe true care extends beyond that — into presence, relationship, and emotional well-being.
Seniors carry a lifetime of stories, transitions, joys, losses, and wisdom. Our approach meets these realities with gentleness, respect, and genuine human connection.
We move at the pace of the person, not the clock. We honour each individual's inner world as much as their practical needs.
This is heart-centred care that supports independence, eases loneliness, and nurtures a sense of belonging.
Because we are not only physical beings. We are more.
