“I have goals today. I have a great relationship with my parents today. I am learning to love myself and discover who I am without relationships or substances. I am living in God’s will today and taking it one day at a time. I want to continue volunteering and giving back what was so freely given to me.

The steps have played a huge role in saving my life—helping me face my trauma, open up, surrender, and realize I don’t have to go through this alone. Thank you for being part of my journey. I’ll take another 24 and pass it on.” -Halle

Angela is celebrating 2 years in recovery — a milestone built on commitment, resilience, and real change!✨

From one of Northstar’s first alumnae to enter the program to now in a leadership role as a peer navigator at Northstar Recovery — this journey comes full circle in the most powerful way. Angela now has the opportunity to give back to women walking the same path she once did, her story is a reflection of what recovery can make possible when it’s met with support, connection, and determination.

In our Women’s Northstar Recovery program, music therapy is more than just sound—it’s a pathway to healing 🎶💙

Led by our music therapist, through Awaken Music Therapy, these sessions create space to express, process, and reconnect. Music can reach places words can’t—helping ease stress, unlock emotions, and support the journey of recovery in a powerful, meaningful way.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the Vancouver Goldeneyes game on Saturday! 💙🏒 It was more than just a great game—it was a strong reminder of what community looks like. Seeing our Northstar alumna, the TWC team, and our friends and community members come together through hockey was incredibly meaningful. 🤝

An amazing way for the Goldeneyes to close out the season—strong, united, and full of heart! 🙌🔥 Thank you to everyone who supported and purchased tickets for the ladies in second stage—they had such a great time! 💙

Congratulations on 365 days of continuous sobriety, Brooke! Your commitment to recovery and embracing a healthy, fulfilling life is truly inspiring. 💙

Brooke shared:
“Getting involved in recovery, staying in the middle, having FUN, building a beautiful support network, and getting completely honest with myself and others, are huge contributors as to why I am clean and sober 365 days later. I am forever grateful, humbled, and blessed to have taken the suggestions thrown at me throughout this first year of sobriety. Oh, and .. whether big steps or baby steps... taking those steps towards growth is huge ❤️”

Our good friends at are offering a new Family Case Management course! This rolling program builds shared language and repeatable skills across MI‑based conversations, Stages of Change, active listening, boundaries, family systems, stress management, recovery capital, case management, cultural safety, and relapse prevention. Participants leave with scripts, worksheets, and a family case plan they can use immediately.

International Women’s Day this year was celebrated at our Northstar Summit home with a powerful gathering of women, including the incredible ladies from Charlford House and Chrysalis Society - Women Helping Women Heal💜

A special thank you to our talented chef Shelome for preparing such a delicious and beautiful spread for everyone to enjoy. And thank you to Darline, Angelina, and Michelle for courageously sharing their stories and inspiring everyone in the room.
