Pelvic Health Solutions is an evidence-based teaching company that aims to educate and empower physiotherapists, healthcare professionals, and everyday people about pelvic health. Pelvic Health Solutions was founded in 2010 out of the need to develop pelvic health resources in Ontario at a time when it was an under-serviced health concern. Our company provides high-quality, continuing education co

urses, mentoring, and clinical resources for a wide variety of practitioners with the goal of equipping them to deliver evidence-based, biopsychosocial assessment and treatment of pelvic health problems in our province and abroad. Pelvic Health Solutions also exists as a way to connect people experiencing pelvic health concerns to pelvic health physiotherapists in their area. The company has ultimately blossomed into a community of curious people who are committed to their life long journey of learning about pelvic health.

Perseverance is powerful, in health, learning, care, and everyday life.

Canadian soccer legend Christine Sinclair, known for her leadership and extraordinary international career, reminds us that progress is often built through consistency, patience, and the willingness to keep going when the path feels challenging.

For patients, practitioners, educators, and anyone working toward growth, success is rarely immediate or linear. It often comes through small steps, continued effort, and support along the way.

📌A reminder for today: setbacks do not erase progress. Keep going.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is a reminder that safety and dignity are essential parts of care, especially for older adults who may rely on others for support.💫

Abuse and neglect are not always obvious. They can show up in quiet ways: ignored care needs, loss of independence, shame, isolation, or feeling unable to speak up when something does not feel right.

In pelvic health education and care, dignity matters and this day reminds us that sensitive conversations should be approached with respect, patience, and awareness.

Whether someone is navigating mobility changes, incontinence, pelvic pain, caregiving needs, or changes in daily function, every older adult deserves to be heard, believed, and supported without embarrassment or dismissal.

Awareness begins with noticing. Support begins with listening.

Concerns like bladder leakage, pelvic pain, prolapse symptoms, bowel dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum changes, and sexual pain can have a significant impact on quality of life.

The good news: many pelvic health concerns can be supported with evidence-informed physiotherapy care.

At PHS, we believe education helps close the gap between silent suffering and meaningful support by training medical professionals to better recognize pelvic health concerns, understand treatment options, and connect patients with qualified physiotherapists who can help.
