What a fantastic morning at the Run with Responders 5K!

Despite almost everyone's predictions, our volunteer Jared crossed the finish line first for our team! 🥇 He also finished 10th overall, out to 370 racers!

A huge congratulations to our speedy administrator, Caitlin, and physiotherapist, Amanda, who both placed in the top 7 female finishers out of 201 female competitors!

Shoutout to physiotherapist Jay for winning our race prediction challenge. He correctly called Jared as the overall winner, predicted our chiropractor Dr. Aden's standout performance, and even guessed that physiotherapist Ahmad would be bringing up the rear as the team's dedicated course closer.

And of course, physiotherapist Courtney earned some bragging rights by finishing ahead of her friendly rival, Jay! 😉

We had an amazing time cheering each other on, celebrating great performances, and supporting a wonderful community event. Thanks to everyone who raced, volunteered, and came out to support us! 👏

Meet Tiana, a future physiotherapy student and one of the first people you will see when you walk through our doors, greeting you with a friendly smile.

Tiana has joined Caitlin at the front desk as a receptionist! She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their time at the clinic. Whether she is greeting patients, answering questions, or coordinating appointments, she is always happy to lend a helping hand and create a welcoming experience for everyone who visits.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Trine University in Angola, Indiana, in 2025, where she also competed on the NCAA women’s basketball team.

Outside of the clinic, Tiana enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active, whether that’s on the golf course or basketball court. She is excited to continue learning and growing while supporting patients on their wellness journeys!

We have another exciting announcement... welcome Physiotherapist Ahmad to the Sport Medicine Physiotherapy team!!

Raised in Windsor, Ontario, Ahmad Makhzoum completed his Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor before earning his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Ahmad is passionate about helping people recover from musculoskeletal injuries, improve their movement, and return to the activities that matter most to them. His clinical interests include back and neck pain, joint injuries, persistent pain, and exercise-based rehabilitation. He takes a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on understanding each person's goals and developing individualized treatment plans that support long-term recovery and confidence with movement.

Outside of the clinic, Ahmad enjoys staying active and has participated in sports throughout his life, including football, basketball, and more recently, pickleball. His appreciation for an active lifestyle helps him understand the challenges people face when pain or injury prevents them from doing the things they enjoy.

Whether your goal is to recover from an injury, manage ongoing pain, stay active, or improve your overall function, Ahmad strives to empower his patients with the tools and confidence they need to move better and live more active lives.

Welcome Dr. Aden Cockburn to the team!!

Aden completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Waterloo in 2021 before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from D’Youville University in 2025. During his clinical training, he completed additional training at Cleveland Clinic, where he gained valuable experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment and further developed his evidence-based approach to patient care.

Growing up, Aden was actively involved in competitive sports, including hockey and basketball, which sparked his passion for movement, performance, and injury rehabilitation. His athletic background, combined with his clinical training, allows him to understand the physical demands placed on the body and helps him guide patients toward achieving their individual health, fitness, and recovery goals.

Aden provides dedicated one-on-one care during every session. His treatment combines hands-on manual therapy with personalized exercise and rehabilitation programs to help patients reduce pain, improve function, and build long-term resilience.

Outside of the clinic, Aden enjoys golfing, hiking, travelling, and staying active through recreational sports.
